Can anyone tell me just when it was made and the current value?
I can email pix if required.

Any information on this rifle would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

It is a .31 caliber.
Converted from flintlock to percussion.
Barrel is well over 30"
I have been unable to find any markings on the rifle itself.
The wood is in excellent shape with tiger striping.
It does have some blue remaining, maybe 60%, but no rust, pitting or any other damage.
It has some engraving here and there and has brass that is very tarnished.
If I clean up the brass, do I lower the value?
thanks for the help.

I'd also like to see some pictures. It could have significant value as is.
Metal is about 60% upon cleaning and looking closly with my reading glasses.
Barrel is octagon. Bore is rustly but slowly cleaning up.
There is some metal wear in the lock but no real rust or major pitting.
Once I clean up a bit more, carefully without cleaning the brass, I will attempt to post pictures.
I'm better at cleaning than posting pics though.
thanks
Nothing else I can locate.
