High Power Trigger Job

I have a FN Herstal High Power 88 (1981). The trigger breaks at 8 to 10 pounds. How difficult is it to do a trigger job? What parts are needed and where can they be bought?

That is a little on the heavy side sure enough.
Trigger jobs are best left to a knowledgeable gunsmith, one for that pistol would probably cost under $100.00 and should not require any parts. Unless you know what you are doing you could end up with a pistol with a dangerously light trigger pull, one that will fire when the safety comes off, one that fires full auto, in general makes it unsafe and then you will end up paying someone more than $100 to repair it and end up replacing parts.
That is something worth doing and doing right.
Also Novak's, www.novaksights.com, does very good HP work. The trigger job is $125.
That's the two best HP 'smiths I know about.
