Are the winchester 70 264 and 300 mag made in the early 60's built on the same actions and components that the 270 and 30-06 use? Are the floorplates and mag boxes the same size? Are there any differences?

Since the 264 & 300 are what are known as belted magnums, the have a larger base and rim diameter then the 270 & 30-06. This would result in the face of the bolt being different at the very least.

They are both built on 30-06 lenth actions, I beleive thats your question. The 264 was introduced in 1958, the 300 Win Mag was introduced in 1963. There where only 4,916 300 Win mags manufactured befor the big change in 1964. The most common chambering in a magnum configuration was the 300 H&H Mag. There where 37,186 300 H&H Mags produced, on the standard lenth action.
