I have a set of grips that appears to be Colt. They have 28 or 29 lines(every time I try to count them they change) can't see good enough. The bottom's have that flattened semi radius. My question is both grips have a "star" stamped on the under side and one has two. Any one know?

I will try to Help but lets get a few things straight. Pre War. Are you saying this is a 1911 With Blued finish or a 1911A1 with Parkerized or other finish. We really need a serial number to be able to tell what question you are asking. Wood grips or Plastic[?]?[?]
