Trapdoor? bayonet question

I picked up what I thought was a Trapdoor bayonet in a trade with a Remington rolling block (doesn't fit the RB as it is a larger diameter) a while back, but when I set it next to my "known" bayonet, I found this one to be about 3" longer in blade length and about 1/2" shorter at the barrel end. It fits about 3/4" down the barrel of my trapdoor. It is also not marked US, but what looks like a very faint 5. Any ideas on what this might be for? Please bear with me as I'm still learning how to work with loading pictures.

edit: now you are cooking. nice pics.
Their are a number of web-sites and dealers on the net who have photos, illustrations and data on various socket bayonets. If you can't identify it here, you might start referencing these sites.
