not sure if its a no 2.. serial 109977,, oct barrel, 32 rimfire.. serial number is only markings I can find.. year it was made?? any info appreciated..

added compare pic 4 of the auction and your pic. Your length of receiver appears different, no firing pin retainer screw, stock cut is straight was slanted.

From the serial number you have given. My WAG is that you have a New Model 4. Which is the most common of the 3.

It should have Remington markings, such as "company name", "address" and "patent dates". If yours doesn't? Might have been refinished harshly? Or a knock-off, made in either Spain or Belgium?
good deal... from the serial number can the year it was made be narrowed down? would it be a war issued rifle??
.22 rimfires were used for training and at military schools, during that time frame.

Yours appears to be the early non-takedown type, probably made before 1900 but far as I know there are no serial number records.
These were common "boy's rifles" not military guns. In 1897 Sears sold them for five bucks.
