Severla months back someone had a thread going that I thought I
could find by searching "What guns do you regret selling", but the
turned up nothing.
Anyway, I posted pics and description of an old Colt M1911-A1, and
would like to find that post again. If anyone remembers the
name of the thread I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

No, it was more recent than that one, probably less than six months
ago.
I used the same words in a search but didn't find it..It must've had a different subject than I remembered. The search continues...

You mean this one?

That be it. I was needing that mostly for the description, I had
lost it on the crash of 06'. Thanks.

I see you got it. If you didn't already know, next time try searching your "Find all non-archived posts by.." you can find this under your user profile.
Search only seems to give the "by subject" option.
Since not knowing the subject name, nor being the
starter of the subject it didn't help much.
Pickenup found the right search words though, thanks again.

Spryor -
You don't quite get what Smokeater meant.
If you should ever again need to find a certain thread that you have posted in (doesn't matter who started the thread), just click on your "User Profile" icon.
Down in the lower right, directly under "Total Posts" you will see - find all non-archived posts by Spryor. Click on this and a list of all the threads that you have posted in will appear (at least, all of them that have been made since Admin last swept out the sub-basement of GB!).
Check out the titles of the threads that seem most likely to be the one that you are looking for and, sooner or later, you will stumble onto the right one.
Hope this helps, don't know how to explain it any more clearly.
overlook/misunderstand/or just plain slow to grasp
things sometimes. Thanks again.
