Killed a bear tonight

Coming past the high school where a football game was going on and talking about how kids will dart out in front of you. Saw something black race across in front of the head lights. Bang! He crawled up in some bushes at a vetenarians office and the deputies came out and dispached him. Only weighed about 125 lbs. I've managed to drive in this county for almost 40 years and never hit a deer. Bought this car in April, first new car either of us has ever owned. Dam bear!

"Bear Tragedy Closes I-26."
A mama bear was crossing the interstate with two cubs.
One cub was hit and killed.
Motorists were calling 911, the mama bear didn't understand that her baby was dead.
She kept going out onto the interstate to try to get the cub to come along. The other cub was standing around on the shoulder.
Finally the cops shut down I-26. They got out the SWAT team to put scopes on the mama, in case she charged.
Then some highway dept. workers dragged the cub over to the grassy embankment.
Down came mama bear, and she bit onto the cubs neck, and dragged him up into the forest.
I like bears and it is always very sad to me when one is killed.
But, I drive that stretch of road twice a week, it doesn't keep me from driving my truck. It could just as easily be me who kills the next bear by accident.

...Deer, cow are the only big game Ive taken with a truck, yet to bag a bear.
I think maybe the Dodge Ram Charger with the heavy pipe Smitty Built bumpers was the best Deer killing truck I had; hard to beat those Smitty Built bumpers, and drops Deer with only one hit...[:D]
I don't know what it is about new cars, but it seems like they all have to get dinged up within the first year. Sorry bout that.
I believe he thought you shot the bear with the "BANG" designation.

imagine what he would have said if god forbid he shot the bear?
he damaged his car...and the bear was put down...no-one was hurt,and bear or no bear, thats what is important when it`s all said and done.
I did catch a little crap over murdering a snapping turtle, though.
