what are you driving ? an informal and fun thread.
Earlier today one of you guys PM'd me about my turbo 318. Please try again I accidently deleted your message. I had a concussion on Monday and I'm still not firing on all cylinders yet. Dave
2016 Subaru Outback. Just got it about a week ago. All the electronic goodies. It's going to be a long learning process. I especially like the adaptive cruise control--if someone slower pulls in front of me, it maintains a set distance, then speeds up when the road is clear. Also tells me when I slop out of my lane, and when someone is in my "blind spot". Made in America---Lafayette, Indiana (engine and transmission made in Japan). Has the CVT transmission, essentially a metal belt/chain between two variable width pulleys, instead of gears. Works surprisingly well. Also has a "hill-holder", reminiscent of a 41 Studebaker.
Update: Still looking for appropriate "COEXIST", "Bernie", and "Pink Pride" stickers to fit in locally.
2007 Dodge 3500 dually quad cab 5.9 Cummins 256000
2008 Toyota Sequoia SR5 5.7 96000
Both bought new. The Dodge carries my engine driven welding machine, oxy-acetylene torch and bottles and several pounds of miscellaneous tools. Hopefully I can make a few more jobs before I retire. The past 14 months have been pretty slim.
