1. SD in velocity is almost 200fps. This is going to effect accuracy no mater what rifle you shoot it out of.
2. Some people are experiencing split necks in their rifles.
I would stay away from the Savage B mag rifles. Not only do they have a flimsy stock but the triggers are not too good either. I have shot 2 of them and neither impressed me. The cock on closing is not hard to get used to but the bolt handle is ugly and uncomfortable.
The flimsy stock is detrimental to accuracy in a rifle meant to be used as a varmint rifle where accuracy is need to hit small targets at medium to long range.
I would pass. I think you would be better served with a 17hmr if you want a rimfire or a 17/221 if you handload.
