Having another one of those days and I thought it might be interesting to see how many of YOU work with idiots?Every single day I am amazed at just how stupid some of the people I work with are. I asked an individual today for some information pertaining to the senior-most individual in my organization. I received a response that contained all sorts of information EXCEPT that which I asked for. I really hate stupid people...

    People that SLOW DOWN when entering the Inter-State or Hi-Way really ticks me off ... SPEED UP SO YOU CAN MERGE IDIOT!!!We have several on and off ramps that are fairly close togeather and on an almost daily basis I have to slow down from 65 to 35-45 with other cars right on my * and in the next lane (so changing lanes isn't an option either) while idiots decide weather or not they want to merge (and typically I need off at the ramp right after they get on)

    I've got a nick-name of grumpy at work.Truth be told,I'm fairly happy go lucky.I just get soooo tired of stupid stuff all the freakin time,puts me in a foul mood.Every now and then I see true brillance,buts it's rare.Sad thing is these people are capable of much more. Yeah,I know what you mean.

    My father used to tell me that these types of people are actually GOOD. He told me that it meant less competition for all that was good in life. I don't know, I sometimes feel like I'm running this race and not only do I have little competition, but nobody around me knows that this is a race....I'm beginning to think that as an independent contractor I need to stir the "unions suck" pot again

    Personally I realize that some people are less intelligent or have less education and training than I. Also there are many who's IQ is greater than mine and may consider me stupid. I try to understand this, but still get impatient with stupid people.

    I agree with the stupid drivers comments. I see a great many of them at least twice a day, and they do get annoying to those of us who know how to drive and know what traffic laws are. Am I the only one who thinks that there should be a minimum I.Q. limit for drivers licenses? Seriously. The roads would be in better condition due to less traffic. Public transportation would be up, pollution would be down, traffic accidents and deaths would be down, and more of the police forces could be used for real police work instead of traffic control and enforcement. What do you think?

    I'll agree there a lot of stupid ones on the road.....but have you been to the grocery store lately? People that leave their shopping carts in the middle of the aisle while reading labels on jars....totaly oblivious that anyone else would want to get around them. Then go to Sams Club and the people with sample carts (strategicly placed on the ends of isles) begin feeding the multitudes, big pile up of abandoned carts while their owners are off feeding their faces with free samples. When I go to the store, it's with purpose....get what you need, get it quickly, and get out....phew!, thanks for letting me get that off my chest, I feel much better now...

    Stupidity is the subject? I've worked in a slaughterhouse for the last 18 years. I've witnessed what I believe to be the entire gauntlet of everything from illiteracy to absolute brain-death. I can tolerate ignorance to a degree, for after all if a person hasn't been exposed to a given subject matter they still have the opportunity to learn. Stupidity, however, should be weaned out of society. A friend of mine from work feels that at several intervals during the high school years a standard IQ test should be given to all students. Those who consistantly fail to achieve a score of 100 or greater should undergo the appropriate procedure to prevent any offspring from occurring. This may sound a bit extreme, but what if he's onto something? Imagine, within a generation or two there would be no reason for a program like Jerry Springer to exist

    A pilot looked at my arresting gear one time and actually asked what does o-n-/o-f-f stand for. Should have seen the lt's face when I said On and Off!

    This is great! Mark II, first Remington's now the IQ minimum for a Drivers License, I thought about that today and think it is a great idea! But can you imagine the fallout if such a law was even brought to the table? (Lets not forget the Insurance companies interest in this industry either.) It kills me that folks here in the USA believe DRIVING is a RIGHT! It is a privilege! Yet when that privilege is threatened all manner of folks get upset about their "Right to drive"! I work for FEDEX and believe me we see it all. How about changing lanes to allow those merging, space to get on the freeway. Or using turn signals to, get this; SIGNAL YOUR INTENTIONS!!! How about actually YIELDING when you pass that yellow upside-down triangular sign. Or the goofball that speeds up in an effort to block you because you signal a lane change then rides just outside your blind spot.....

    I work in a lumberyard....I dont work with idiots, but i do work for idiots, and help A LOT of idiots....for example.) One guy came into the concrete block section of the yard (retaining stones) driving his Ford 150 (not knocking ford now) brand new ford and this guy completely looks like hes a badass macho guy with his new truck. So he explains to me that he needs 2 pallets of retaining stones. I said ok.... wheres your trailer? He said he just brought his truck and that he would take them all today. ok, a 150 truck can carry at the most 1500 lbs. so if we take 25lbs. per block @ 192 blocks (2 pallets of 96) we come to a total of around ummm 5000 lbs. does that info faze him? no..."I've taken more before." Sure sir....anything you say. as he leaves the yard his muffler is draging on the ground. I heard his rear tires blew and came off the rims 3 blocks away. Could i have been the weight? nahhhh cuz "He has had more in the box before!""So i was driving down in alabama and one of my tires was low on air so i pull into a service station to fill up and the attendent says "Tire go flat?" I said "Nope, The other 3 just SWELLED right up on me." and without missing a beat he said "Well the heat will do that."..."sigh....I just hate stupid people. The should wear a sign that says "I'm Stupid." That way you wouldn't rely on them would you? You wouldn't ask them anything.     I work for an automotive manufacturer, and one of my jobs is to write service bulletins for use by our dealership technicians. As you can imagine, mostly men work in my dept, but they did recently hire a fairly attractive woman to take a job similar to mine and also to enhance our "diversity". A few months ago she asked me if it would be possible to rewrite some information I had published related to timing adjustment, because to call something retarded or advanced was insensitive towards people with learning disabilities. Couldn't we just say bad and good? They just promoted her to a management position last month.Sol-one

    A dozen years ago I worked as a punch out man(repairing stuff) for a developer,had plenty of experiance.They decided to hire a guy whose last job was ShORT ORDER COOK to be my forman.Well ,then they needed a another guy to be kind of a superviser over me,his last job ,owner a DOG & SUDS, a drive through resteraunt.

    One of my favorites on the STOOPID list is the person who is obviously a victim of "outcome based education" and can't count (or doesn't give a rats a--) gets in the "Express Line" with twice the number of items allowed and THEN, when all the items are rung up and the people in line are REALLY p

    Was working the line as Firearms Instructor in the Air Force Reserve. A bunch of reservists were bussed in from another base. As they were offloading at the range I heard the bus driver explaining that he had been active duty during Viet Nam and was explaining the M-16. Says they called it a gas operated rifel because they loaded the case with gasoline. I wonder if he could reload some for me.

    The list would be too time consuming. Merging on-ramps is a good one to add the person who pulls off the shoulder on the interstate from a dead stop, into 70+mph traffic.Seems a couple of miles of shoulder could be useful if you need a running start.... maybe to reach at least 45 before moving over. Or maybe the receiver I had to deal with yesterday...took just over 5 minutes to add 14 + 8 (yeah, I timed him...and 5 minutes is after i started looking at my watch)Went thru the whole process of writing it down, carrying the one, etc.

    Here is my "beef". I work in a block yard that sell everything from blocks to retaining walls to stones. I have contractors buy supplies and a day later they bring 3/4 of it back, saying they over estimated, which we charge 20% restocking fee, in which the contractors get mad at us, the workers, not the owners of the place. As for people who point at something and you ask what they are pointing at, they get mad at me, Like I can read minds. Then there is the people out there that thinks that their truck is super, I put a cube of bricks on a Ford Range, which is about 3,000 lbs., I do not know if they are dumb or nuts, that is why I call them dumbnuts. And I can not stand the people who come in my yard and want me to load them up because they have back problem, why are they getting this stuff if their back is hurting them. I am the only one in my yard, as for the yard crew, and people will wait for thirdty minutes for me to load their car or van. Also when the machine break down, they want me to shovel the sand and gravel in to their truck. We have a sign in the office saying that the yard personnal does not shovel and please HELP he because he is the only one out there. And women and rich people, they are even worst. Thinking I should be getting down on my knee to kiss there #$@, because there are female or rich, I'm sorry, you are my equal, so don't ask favors from me. I will get down on my knee for only one being, that is God him-self.You know what I feel alot better. Sorry if I did not spell a word correct. I may not be the sharpest knife, but I am not the dullest knife either.ThanksSpec.4

    The on/off ramps are a good one.....people that don't know how to merge shouldn't be allowed on the road, to dangerous!As far as women who don't load their own stuff......not all women are like that. At least I like to think so! I will load it myself if I am able. If it is heavy and I can't do it myself, I will help at least! The women who stand and watch are prissy little things who are afraid to break a nail. Soory if this offends any of the ladies out there, just my opinion!I think there is stupid people everywhere, keeps the smart ones on their toes!

    218, I have gone in and read some of my posts from very early in the morning (b/4 10) or late at night (after 2)or sometimes as early as 11 and depending on how hard a day I had, they may or may not make a lot of sense. I have the curse of being able to type faster than my brain will allow me to think. (bout 20 wpm if your wondering how fast my brain is.) Not real fast for a thinker, but not quite fast for a typist. We all say things on posts that may not come across quite like we meant. I hope most that read them realize that what we said wasn't what we meant, and what we meant to say wasn't what we said. Or something like that. Keep posting, stay away from staircases, and be safe.

    If you want some good laughes hire a high school kid for a day. Unfortunatly I can't laugh because I can't fire him. He show's up three days a week (lame excuesses the other two a don't even mention working saturday). leaves after eight hours two of those and has a doctors appointment or something another day. Was sent to fill up the gas can for the saw, He did put the oil in it then filled the can with diesel fuel. Can read a tape but won't cut the board to that length. When ask to do any task he will act like you just ask him to move a mountain and then procced to screw it up so bad that you won't ask him to do anything again. And people wonder why we hire mexicans.
