Kraft foods, Nabisco Biscuit Division, may be looking for a couple of production electricians in the future. Send in a resume and it will be kept on file. When the positions are approved, you will be considered, and if your qualifications match the company's needs, you'll get an opportunity to come in for an interview. A lot of if's here, but if you're looking, look here too. This is a production position, not construction. Not looking for pipe benders; Allen Bradley PLC's and high speed packageing equipment experience needed.

Anyone interested, send me an e-mail and I'll give you the address. Please, don't apply if you're not qualified.

We have two major defense contractors here in the Dallas/Ft.Worth area who are hiring or will be hiring. Vought announced the addition of 3000 new jobs last week. Lockheed is still hiring. I believe both these companies do their hiring from internet submitted applications.

Well, if someone is seeking a job in the Ohio area, I might know a few places. If in/near the Toledo area, visit www.toledohelpwanted.com , that website is normally full of listings. People could try the Jeep manufacturing plant which is also located in Toledo, Ohio. If in/near the Findlay/Bowling Green area, people could apply at the Cocoa Cola bottling plant, which is located in Bowling Green, Ohio. If in the Ridgeville Corners area of Ohio, people could try Alex Products, which is a factory and they pay pretty well. If in the Napoleon area, people could apply at Campbell Soup Company or Arrow Plastic Factory. I hope that helped somebody at least a little bit.

Also the Fayette-Urban County Government (Lexington's governing body) has passed a new tax to INCREASE the pay of LEOs and Firefighters. They also really have no age limt to LEOs as long as you can pass the physical test and pass the school. One graduate was inhis 40s! Anyone needing info can call the Fayette-Urban County Government in Lexington KY or drop me an e-mail and I will get the number as well as office ext. for you. Also check out this link to KY State Government jobs:

Not many jobs right now but there are some. All require a person to relocate to KY.

Less than 15% of job vacancies today are advertised. Employers don't need to advertise because there is an abundance of qualified applicants waiting to fill vacancies. After working for the same company for 10 years and working my way up the ladder, I was let go. Shortly after I started looking for work, I attended a state sponsored seminar on finding work. Prior to the seminar my search was limited to advertised vacancies. After the seminar, I did research (had lot's of time on my hands!) on employers where I thought I would like to work. I began "networking" with family, friends, neighbors, church members, hunting/fishing buddies, anyone I came in contact with. I began submitting resumes, in person, and always followed up with calls or letters. I made as many contacts as I could and tried to keep my name "out there". My job was "looking for a job". I planned each day in advance and set a minimum number of contacts for myself for each day. Each night I would do my follow-up letters and plan my next day. I invested 40+ hours per week in my job search. It took 18 weeks for me to find a job. A corporate director I had contacted and managed to speak with in person was at a function where he was visiting with a manager of another business. The manager was talking about an upcoming vacancy and finding the right applicant. The corporate director thought the vacancy matched my skills and gave my name to the manager. The next day the corporate director called me and asked if he could fax my resume to the manager. I got a call from the manager later that morning and interviewed the next day. I was hired!

I know it's not easy finding work. This worked for me. I know of others that have used the "technique" for finding both white collar and blue collar work. If anyone needs help getting started, send me an email and I'll see what I can do to help. Good luck!

May not be news, but the military is an ok way to get back on your feet if you are down. They even take people up to age 35 now days. Plus, college money is good. Just make sure you are onboard with all that goes with the military.

This outfit has jobs all around the country doing customer service work. If you can run a computer and talk on the phone it might be something to check out. I know of several people who went to work near here. Starting pay was over $10.00 part time. From what I'm told advancement to full time comes within 3 months. The one friend I have has been there a year and is full time making over $12.00 an hour. Not too bad a deal for someone that really needs to get the bucks coming in.
