When it came time to name our youngest, whose 20th birthday is tomorrow, we wrote out each name we had narrowed the list down to on slips of paper. I put them in a paper bag, shook it well, then pulled out his name. We gave him my name as his middle name. Never regretted it.

    Grant would be my pick.

Of course, it's my name so I'm just a bit biased [:)]

    How about Colin?

the names you listed seem fine with me. However his middle name being a typical first name, giving him a typical first name will sound redundant so my suggestion is look for something that is less common for his first name.

I named my dog Ruger and always thought it would be a cool name for a boy. That or "Dillon" and both names are gun-associated, if you're into that..

I can't think of Axl without thinking of the front man for G&R. Which would be a disqualifier for me, personally.

I like Phillip because of the historical significance.

    Ditto for me.

Axl Rose is actually the inspiration for it. One of my all-time fave bands and one of the greatest frontmen of all time, hands down, no exceptions, anybody who disagrees is a gay commie terrorist.

Mr. Rose may be a great musician.....but unless your little Axl is the baddest * on the playground, he's going to be getting a lot of unwanted attention.

    Rosie
Although always described as a cowboy, Roswellnative generally acts as a righter of wrongs or bodyguard of some sort, where he excels thanks to his resourcefulness and incredible gun prowesses.

Based on what? I have the most normal name in the world and I was teased relentlessly.

On the other hand, I went to school with a whole family of hippies with names like Dove, Orion, etc. who were all popular and never had a problem because of their names.

    Life is unpredictable.

Rosie would work to. I guarantee you he will grow up knowing how to fight with either name! [:)] You can trust me on this one.
