"varmit hunter" (sic) I personally would not leave something as valuable to me as My guns in the care of A gunsmith that is not capable of comprehending or communicating in the written word, someone so detail oriented as A gunsmith would be handicapped out of business if he could not understand or be understood in his directions,I see you go to some lengths to mis-spell very common words, that shows that You, like myself, feel superior to most of the posters here or you would not go to the trouble, I do not bother,as I do not wish to become part of the "Gang" at GB

KRAG96- You are one nasty SOB. Glad to see your wonderful spelling and correction skills- too bad your skills do not enable you to post something worth reading(correctly spelled, of course).

I had promised myself that I wasn't going to post in this thread, but I just can't help myself, so ........Krag96 -You wrote "...a gunsmith that...". That is incorrect. It should have been "...a gunsmith who...".We use the word "that" in referring to objects and ideas, and we use "who" or "whom" when referring to people.Somebody with your superior skills shouldn't be so careless. Just an observation. This thread hasn't gotten too far off track, has it?

Patrick posted the proposition that"Consistantly my 6.5x55 sweedish." referring to shooting .2 inch groups.I disagreed with"*"He replied "I misread the .2 to be 2... my mistake..."I replied"No apology needed Partick, you told us why you said what you said. Honest mistake."Simple, huh? Nothing there that an average 10 year old couldn't grasp, right? WRONG!Several chimed in with erroneous, spurious, and down right false information. And two or three of you are accomplished shooters who should know better. What's going on here? Can't we deal with facts?Clouder..

Hey to all who have added their 2 not .2 cents to this particular topic, I just want to relate that one dead calm day my friend and I were out with my trusty sweede and he noticed a gnat sitting on a limb at aprox. 250 yds not.250 yds. Having witnessed my prowess with said gun he challenged. Pat lets see you knock that sucker off that limb. I replied I'll go one better I will shoot him in the eyelid. Well I takes rest on this tree and proceeds to aim at his lefteyelid. Just as I fired my friend coughed in the direction of my muzzle. We walks on down and sure nuff here lies the gnat still twitching in its death throes. We rolls him over and lo and behold I had hit him smack dab in the right eyelid. Well I was about ready to sell that sweede cheap when I remembers my friends cough just as I fired. I was so glad I had not specified which eyelid for i'm not sure how my friend could have handled me hitting the wrong one. Now this is pure unadulterated BULLCRAP ,not to be mistaken for anything else, for the gnat was closser to 175 yds. not .175 yds.Say you think this whopper might qualify me for the K.L.C. Let me Clue you The C standsfor club.Somebody, anybody end this thread before someone shoots this one down.

whiteclouder, Why the persistence? Spurred in a bit deep? I made an observation, it has been proven correct and stands. Had, that is HAD you said; .2 groups with a 6.5x55 Swede is still considered just bulls**t though. instead of; ".2 groups are still considered just bulls**t though." It would have been impossible for anyone, including 10 year olds, to misinterpret your position. However in the name of friendship, I'll accept what you offer knowing each other is right in their own mind. While I have your attention, if you fail to submit your novel for publication, it will be a disappointment. Not only to you and your offspring but to those that know you as well. As Theodore Roosevelt once said;"Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat." Last, I would kindly suggest you remind your male servant his position as such is to be seen not heard, not to speak unless spoken to.

Ah Mr..280 freak, the gusmith IS the who, or whom in the context used. and besides, I did not say I was perfect, just superior to most here in thought skills,I did not address you in the statement, but you feel threatened enough by my language to attack and rebuke me, why is this? do you by chance believe YOU are superior to me? and if this is your feeling, then you are just as guilty as myself, maybe more so of being a "SOB", as I was called in another post, so, from one SOB to another, HOWDY!

krag96.In reference to my ignorance.I machined 18 dodecagons in a eight hour shift. Now maybe I cant spell dodegagons corectily ,But I can make them. How about you?I wonder how good those gunsmiths that made the beautiful Kentucky rifles could spell. My point is that we all have different skills. In the future do not say that I feal superior to any one.I DO NOT, nor do I feal anyone is superior to me.

ClouderFirst you stick them with a pin to see that they are dead. Caution can be very vicious when only wounded. Hang upside from a treelimb, making sure the limb will support them, and use a small hunting knife, unless you are fortunate enough to kill one that weighs 250 or 300 lbs. not .250 or .300,in which I find a chainsaw best. Hope this helps out. Say when does the season start in your state and whats the daily bag limit?. Patrick

Patrick:Things are slightly different in this state, as are the people; nudge, nudge; wink, wink; know what I mean? Here we must use shotguns exclusively and the limit is one five gallon bucket full. F&G could never arrive at an exact count hence the volumetric application. Utah hunters cheat by squishing them down. Aficionados frown on this practice as it bruises the tenderloin. Refreshing to hear of someone else who still hunts this dangerous and elusive quarry.Clouder..

Great acrimonious thread!! Too bad I missed all but the end of it. For what it's worth clouder I understood that to which you were alluding with your "bovine excrement" comment. You have always been "spot on" when it comes to long range varmint rifle performance. In one way it's kind of nice to have an argument over shooting on the forum rather than some of the popular political items of the hour. Beach
