Damn Josey...Talk about "reach out and touch someone!!!!"
Woke up this AM feeling like I'd been dragged backwards through a knothole. I feel a lot better now 'cause I've actually got a few of the guns that you guys are lusting after.
I guess numero uno on my wish list is "Ma Deuce" with about 50k rounds of ammo.
Next would be a 56 cal. Austin-Healy 100-4.
Then a 64 cal. Pontiac GTO.
Yeah...yeah....yeah.....I know.

Hey Bullzeye, see them stumps back there under the muzzle of Josey1's gun? Now thats what happens when a real tree slayer is put into action. You need to get one of what Josey has there, sure looks like it could make a few stumps like the ones in the picture.
Josey1, I'm not sure what the heck that is used for, but if I ever go to Africa ya' wanna come along for the 1,000 yd. shots on the elephants?
Josey1 that thing is awsome!!! Ill bet it packs a hell of a wallup.
Wish-list???? Ill take two of those, three of them, a couple of those several of them...
Limited to 1, give me one of those real high dollar german made double rifles, one with all the fancy shmancy scrollwork and the extra nice stalk. You know the ones that cost about a hundred grand... Well, if I was Bill Gates I would probably get one, but not likely on my salary...lol
When Clinton left office they gave him a 21 gun salute. Its a damn shame they all missed....
WHOA,WHOA,WHOA there boys.I never said that there pea shooter was mine, this thread did say "WISH LIST" right? But I'll say this, when I was a lil' crawler and they were selling these 20MM Lahti's through the mailorder I should have talked poppa into buying one for me.I did shoot a 20MM Lahti once in the Black Hills of SD.It belonged to a friend of my brother who has long past died. The absolute and undefinable power of that there pea shooter was intoxicating.I wonder what happened to that gun?Well, today about $12-$20,000 and a boatload of hoops to run through I'm sure one could be had.If you ever go to one of the large shoots and you see one there ask the fellar if you could take a pull,of course offer up some Doh Re Me for the shell(them badboys ain't cheap),Josey

Josey 1, What is the world does it cost to shoot a dozen rounds out of a cannon like that? I guess, it's like Chris Craft Cruisers, if you have to ask the gun is not for me.
How do terrorists afford to sqeeze off hundreds of rounds out of the stuff they are shooting? Maybe that is a bumb question ... I was just wondering.

Two typos in one short note ... sorry, my brain must not be quite home from the hospital, yet.
Ken,I'm not so sure where you are going with the terrorist comment to be honest it sounds like you are baiting the conversation. However if it is a legitimate question I will answer with a question of my own, when is the last time you ever saw a terrorist shooting a 20mm Lahti?I will however tell you that the Lahti ammo does not come cheap.Heck even if you can find the brass you are looking at big dollars for minimal shooting fun.The esteemed gentleman I once knew(god bless him),reloaded the same 50 shells that he purchased along with the gun in the early '50's.Those 50 shells probably follow the gun to this date, there was a time before he passed when I asked that fellow what it would take for him to part with that massive pea shooter,to which he replied,"Till death do us part".I still wish I knew what hapened to that gun.

andersk - live original Lahti rounds start at $20 & climb from there. I remember "the good old days" when there were ads for them in the back of the outdoor mags. Never did see the point of it then (OK, I was young & naive) & by the time I had the chance to shoot one, GCA '68 was in force and I wasn't about to give the #$%^&*() feds any reason to come knocking on my door (legally, that is, not that it ever seems to matter to the feebies). I guarantee they do an amazing job on large solid objects.
I just noticed/realized there was a "page 2" to your posting. Sorry to reask my question. Actually, it is a real question ... I was just wondering.
You say "Ken,I'm not so sure where you are going with the terrorist comment to be honest it sounds like you are baiting the conversation." no, not at all. I was just wondering out loud ... us old guys do that from time to time.
That sounds neat about the 50 brass fllowing the gun. Do you have to cast bullets for it as well? I used to do some reloading with my, Dad, but that was quite a while back. Now, I just buy em and shoot em ... squeezing off each shot, just so the kids (in their twenties now) think the old man is still a pretty good shot!
I don't have a clue what the terrorists are shooting, but it looks like big guns to me. I'm just a plinker with a .22 and a reasonably successful deer hunter for the past while. And a former pheasant/quail hunter.
Seems like the terrorist bad guys must have a good bank roll our a quiet place to reload as necessary!
I saw a couple of SPAS-12s at the last gun show I was at for $900-1000. I owned one some years ago and sold it. I loved them before I got one, but there are an awful lot of parts in one of those and that means everything has to work just right. In my case, I bought the gun new and found that one of the levers (the safety I think) wasn't positive. That is, some part was slightly off alignment and it wouldn't hold as securely as it should have. Frankly, the only reason I can see now to own a combo semi/pump shotgun is so you can shoot special purpose loads that won't cycle a nominal semi-auto action. I don't have any real need for SP shells, so I'd be buying a good reliable semi-auto before I'd have another SPAS. Just my input on it.

Yep, elephant. They are legal to hunt again. Honest. Somewhat restricted, but legal.
