The AWWW factor is off the charts. Now all she needs is a cat. Don't screech, my red spoiled rotten weiler has her own cat. Both are fully grown. They lay on the floor and groom each other. That cat whose name is Maus has the cleanest ears and behind I have heard of.

My last Shepherd, Kira, had a cat. Chloe hates everyone, but she loved Kira. They would sleep on her dog bed together.
Funny story about that. Years ago, Kira developed what the vet called a "sty" above one of her eyes. They said it would grow bigger and bigger and might cause vision issues in the eye. The vet recommended surgery at some point to get it removed....but it wasn't an immediate issue, and at the time I was a broke college student and I just didn't have the money.
One day I caught Chloe up in Kira's face....licking and biting on the sty. Kira laid perfectly still whIle the cat was working, right on her eyelid.
Chloe got it. Removed it just as precisely as if the vet got it.

Rufus quickly owned my heart, and one of my saddest days was saying goodbye.
