I have two: "ASAP" - I had co-workers give me prints to have a part machined and ask for delivery "ASAP". They had no idea what that could mean. Stop a 1st class shop drop everything and have all their resources concentrate on their part? Given lost/delayed revenue from the shop on other jobs that could cost us $10K for a $300.00 part. The other is "up to". I see that all the time in advertising. "up to 30% off" can mean 0% off. I see it for cars, clothes, jewelry, and potato chips. OK, I feel better now!

When someone says "have a good one" to me I just smile and reply "I do". [:D]
That's another jaw grinder. People say "I feel nauseous." No. Nauseous means something that makes people feel nauseated, like a nauseous odor.
On the other hand, for some folks here, it would be correct to say it that way.

When someone says a firearm is a "platform".
Yeah, no doubt. A platform is something you stand on.
