I got a suggestion for this forum website, next time they upgrade it
the site, they should add flags,
Like they have at other sites, so we can at least know who we are talking to; it seems alot of canadians, are all over the forumsites, interjecting their opinions about our US consitutional issues, gunrights, environment issues, and social issues;
It would be nice to see what colors the person one is communicating with is flying, to get a perspective where they are comming from.
It might save some alot of typing.
I went around in circles with an anti 2d Amendment liberal, I thought was an american pro Brady gun activist, who turned out to be an anything goes gay swede; and he lives in his country where everybody owns guns.
What a waist of time.
If I can see their flag from a distance, I don't need to see the white of their eyes, to ignore them.
On the other hand, if I decide to go mano a mano with him, I'll have plenty of time, to put on my wading boots.

I hope this thread has been an eye-opener to some of the folks with multiple citizenships. When you spout off thinking it's cool to be an American, and at the same time something besides an American, not everyone finds it cool. Some of us have paid big prices as Americans so others can live in freedom...and many of our friends have paid the ultimate price. We can get a little sensitive with those whom we doubt their patroitism.
Whew ... why do I feel that this discussion is generating more heat than light.
Personally I love the US and I have been living in Canada for the last 26 years. I am Moving back to the Boston area this Fall, and I will probably retire back in Canada. I have paid a lot of taxes in both countries. I served in the US Navy.
I also think that Canada and the US are pretty good friends and allies inspite of some rather unfriendly things going on from time to time.
