    say bee i lived in napels for about a year ,worked for naples airlines. we were flying prospects over the golden gate estates when it was first being developed. hunted deer and pig on what is now them fancy houses. had relatives in homstead,fort meyers,ocalla and son in jacksonville for a couple of years working for "crawdaddys". happy new year to everyone on the board!!! carl

    Hey Andres,was that back in the fifties,when they put up potential land buyers at the Ramuda Ranch,which is about half way between Naples and Everglades city?If that is the case,this is a very interesting part of local history!O.K. Auto,I`ll try to remember some,it all ended about 1969,when it became illegal to be in possesion of gator hide products,shoes,belts,etc.Hey,while we are at it,check out my late uncles website;search Totch Brown,you will find the site..I found it by accident the other night.There is a link to my cousins site,he is a photographer by the name of Oscar Thompson..218.218

    That Book By your uncle looks interesting and I will read it after I finish up the 3 books that I am behind on. I had an uncle up in Iowa that trapped for his living all of his life and was a part time prize fighter. I would bet that him and your uncle were both out of the same mold...
