    Ky,
Mobile is a little closer to all the storms of the past two years than Lexington. We had some outages, but as a whole we did just fine. BTW; The eye of Ivan passed right over me. I gave the forum hourly reports until the power went out. Next morning, the generator came online and I resumed. They are in archives now.

I have been there and done that.

Don't be swept up in paranoid hysteria like some of the screwballs on here.

P3, I think it's way too late for that very good advice, the sky has already fallen for some.
Tax evasion is illegal, tax avoidance is an art form.

They sky will never fall... corrupt regimes ALWAYS HAVE AND ALWAYS WILL!

The rainbow is a symbol of peace from God almighty... Which leads me to believe satan himself is responsible for all the murderous "natural events"

I pray that God help all men who seek the truth and seek justifiable means to ensure the Godly truth! America!; One nation under God!

We've been running on fumes since at least the early '80s and the demise of heavy industry in the US.
Maybe Nixons' opening up of China was a bad move.

I sure have to agree here.

It is one thing to notice what is happening, and another to go over the cliff with it.

I admit, that some times I get a little teaked by it, but I can't let that rule my life, nor should anyone else.

The above suggestions for networking is always good advice. At least we can all die together (I'm joking here) when the flying monkeys come after us. But by God, I will shoot a few.

I think that we ought also realise that we are all in the same boat whether we see it or not.

Beating the crap outta each other here over minor points that we wish to make major only divides us. It figgin hurts sometimes too and ya know it.

Think about the folks on these boards. We really ARE mostly like minded. In the event of a REAL emergency we might need each other.

In a rough sense, I guess I'm saying that many of us are beating the crap (verbally) out of other folks who would be our only supporters if the real thingo happened. Its pretty funny if you look at it like that.

Those countrie were united... and given a leg to stand on by other nations. The current US situation is pretty grim. There are too many groups that want it all for themselves simply for the sake of having it, not for the greater good. These states are no longer united..... millions of marching and protesting illegals, millions of blacks marching for their various causes, loss of liberty in the name of fighting terror, the list could probably go on. The reason nations have survived catastrophe in the past is because they banded together for the common good and THEIR nation. the banding together in this nation simply will not happen on a scale large enough to matter. The actions of ALL involved with Katrina are a prime example. Looting, name calling, grandstanding, race baiting, and the suspension of the second amendment all come to mind when the country should have come together. Picture that on a larger scale. The largest groups will want to carve their own piece of whats left of the American pie if they cant have the whole thing. Hope for the best and prepare for the worst, and know what side you want to be on before TSHTF.
