Most expensive purchase would be the new Browning Cetori with hard case and extra tubes, I bought for the wife (and then cut 1 1/4 off the stock, so it would fit her).
Second highest would be the used Browning GTI (with hard case and extra tubes) I shoot.
Over time however I think my -06 custum Mauser has eaten the most money, considering it's on it's 2nd Shilen barrel, 2nd scope (this time a Shepherd, first one was a Leupold) 3rd stock, etc

Some guys like a mag full of lead, I still prefer one round to the head.

I guess that would be my Sako AV Deluxe .30-06. Paid just about $850 for it, adding the scope and rings pushed it up about $1250.

Concealed.....Out in the field a drilling can take everything from pheasants and grouse to deer and elk. Mine was made by Sauer of Germany and imported into the US for just a few years. Sometimes they are not really appreciated by the deer hunting crowd...if you can envision a couple of fat boys in a deer stand on national park land and you and a few other guys are driving deer and then two grouse flush and you blast them....thus ruining any chance the tree boys are going to get at having a deer come by you get the picture. It's best left to using on private land on which nobody is going to be particularly upset if you blast the odd turkey or grouse.
My experience with drilling is that they truly are beautiful examples of the gun makers art. Even the ugly ones look great. Beach
