Urine odor

I have got a problem that has me infuriated, I'm so mad right now that I could just start smashing things.
I made a mistake this past weekend. I opened up my big plastic bin that I keep all of my hunting clothes in to find a release I use for hunting. I found the release and never put the clothes and other stuff back in right away. I also left my bow case open on the table beside the clothes. After I was done shooting the bow I placed the bow back in the case but failed to close it. I went back down to the basement today to get the bow for some more shooting and what I discovered has me totaly enraged.
It seems one of my wifes kitty cats decided it did not like the lingering odor of the cover spray that was on the clothes and the bow. I leave the cover spray on my clothes and try not to wash them any more than I have to, my fellow archery hunters will understand why. The scent also has rubbed off onto the bow and into its case. Back to the cat, it sprayed the most godawfull smell imaginable on my hunting gear, it got my clothes, the accessories and my bow. I have almost $1000 invested in that bow, arrows, several releases and other odds and ends. The clothing I cannot guess how much money I have in them. It seems that the cat urine smell is permanant. I washed all the clothing and other washables 5 times today and the smell will not leave. I have to completely tear my bow down, replace the string and cables, my releases are ruined and so is monay other things that was there.
My wife says it is my fault for leaving them out, I say I should not have to hide the stuff in fear of the dang cat. we have two cats and the one could care less about deer scent but the other one .......... Both cats are nuetered so they should not be spraying, or don't that stop it? Well ,needless to say I know which cat did it, that cat used up all of its nine lives this afternoon. I'm sorry if I offended any cat lovers, I also like cats but that mangy furball may have just cost me well over $2500 and that is not forgivable.
Does anybody know how to eliminate that smell? I don't want to toss all that stuff in the trash and replace it but if I have to I will. What can I use to scrub the bow and other items that cannot go in the washing machine? What can I use in the washing machine on the items that can go in there? Please help! Some of those clothes are high dollar Browning outfits, I have several different camo patterens that would cost a fortune to replace, the other accesories will be expensive as well. Heck, those releases I have are $75 apiece!
HELP!!

We Live in a World of Give And Take, But A Lot Of People Won't Give What it Takes.
This is used for dogs that are sprayed by a skunk.. you pour it on the dog.. rub it in.. and leave it.. there is no odor what so ever.. even if the dog gets wet.. I know it sounds corny.. but it works like a charm on dogs, clothes.. anything that got hit by a skunk.

Only good cat is a dead cat. They definatley DO NOT BELONG IN A HOUSE, of course they should not be running wild either, killing songbirds and game, ruining others property.
We spent a few thousand dollars replacing our front porch because the nieghborhood cats had their vile stench soaked into the wood.
Pack slow, fall stable, pull high, hit dead center.
Sorry, when I read your thread I got a visual and couldn't help but laughing ... yours sounds like the best idea if the oder can't be nuterlized ...

Well thats how they work..they get rid of it till they get wet... There are NO chemicals in the * to harm anything you will put it on... and there is NO lingering odor...My dad used it on his traps when he was trapping to get rid of the human scent...
Like I said I like cats. The reason I know which one did it is because we have had the problem with him before doing that. I will keep the results of my confrontation with the cat to myself but rest assured, he won't do that again. The other cat we have I really like, infact I like him better than the dog. he is just too cool. Laid back and acts like he is the boss and this is his house, he has even put our overwieght tempermental mutt in its place a few times. As far as training cats, those things are smarter than you give them credit for, cats are downright intelligent but they are also independant weich gives the impression that they cannot be trained. My cats know when the hear the bb gun rattle it's time to take cover, it was used to learn the cats to stay off of the kitchen counter and was not used to be cruel.
But anyhow thanks for the tips and I hope I can get rid of that smell, the archery hunters out there know how picky an alert deers nose is and one mistake will keep "bucky" at a distance from you. BTW, I do use Red Fox pee as a cover scent but I see a problem trying to mask the cat odor with it. It would just create a smell all its own that the deer know does not belong in HIS woods. Thanks again and I hope y'all got a good laugh out of this!
Remember that all the harsh chemicals will ruin the fibers in both the bow string and the clothing. The string is easy enough to replace if needed. I sincerely doubt that absolutly all the smell will be eliminated but as long as you can't smell it then the cover scent should work well enough.
Another thing to remember is that all the washings will fade out your patterns, and it sounds like this might already be too late!
Deer may have a better nose than us but they also are use to smelling some predetor urine around the woods as long as its not to strong it shouldn't hurt.
Not to get the cat lovers going or to provoke the PETA folks but if ya can't trust-em DUST-EM! If a dog or any other pet can't be broken or trusted some have to be given treatments, sort of like shock thearopy! Only much cheeper.
