My New airplane

I bought this GT400 it is a FAR legal 103, Rotax 447 40 HP motor with 107 hours on it. This plane has a boat load of instruments not normally seen on ultralights. I am mowing part of the field behind my house to make a 500 foot runway. It will take of in 150 feet.

When I was a kid, my dad and a friend of his were WeedHopper dealers. We had one and he had one also.
They were not as fancy as yours though.
Looks like fun...watch out for drones[:D]
and power lines! [:)]
Looks like it can just barely kill ya

a close friend of ours nose died into the river about a year or so ago a couple miles from our house in a ultra lite , sadly did not make it .
Pretty Bird...too bad it would only taxi with me in it. Sigh....I miss Flying...

Looks really cool,but I couldn't do it.
Hell no, a wet/dry vac won't even clean that up!!
By removing an unused section of fence I will have a 600 foot runway taking off into the prevailing SW winds in my yard.
Getting a camera hooked up to the wing is my next project.

I have a lot of air time in ultralights. Here I am flying my Goldwing.
What is the stall speed of your ultralight? What is the top speed?
You are in for a lot of fun with that little airplane. How much did it cost?
Best and I pray you get close to God.. but not too close!!

The stall speed is 26MPH by law the top speed is limited to 55 knots cruise speed at 65% power is about 50 MPH.
I was lucky, the guy needed to sell; I paid $7,000 for it.

Now this is a talented man. Not only can he fly...he flies his airplane backwards. Most people would be satisfied just being about to fly one the normal way. [:)]
Sorry, I hate heights, not my idea of fun, but best to you.
,,,,,,,,,,,needs a little 'ballast' in the front,,,,,,,,,,,wait, wait, I forgot who's the pilot !!!!!! [:D][}:)]
I am a feather weight now, lost 23 pounds recovering from surgery and still losing by eating better. I now weigh 250 and dropping. [:D]
What is its range on a tank? Why does it have only half a steering wheel, does it only fly in clockwise circles? Where is the parachute? Are you Nuts?![:0]

That tank is not exactly 103 legal. According to FAR 103 the tank needs to be a max of 5 gallons. That one is 13 [:0] gallons. I will put a 5 gal tank in.
The steering wheel is like many famous airplanes, including the B-17!
Lets see a picture of the panel on that thing.
Very cool, have fun. I have a Cessna 172N that I bought after getting my PPL last summer but have considered also getting a super cheap ultralight that I can keep out at my house. Got a huge rectangle yard in front of the grain bins that would be perfect for something like that.
