Compromise? BS! You are dealing with the devil when you start trading off one ideal in hopes of saving another. I'm surprised the American Indians on this forum haven't reminded us how Uncle Sam nearly compromised them into extinction.

    Highball;
Maybe I said it wrong. I firmly believe that EVERY gun law is unconstitutional. Period! They should ALL be repealed. But realistically, if we use the legal options we have at our disposal, we are not going to get back any of the rights that "they" have already taken away. Apathy and complacency prevent it. So to "stop" them from taking any more, is the best we can hope for.

No we are not free. This is not the life our forefathers envisioned, and then fought and died for. They saw this coming and tried to offer what protection they could, at the time, with the documents they wrote.

The politicians have written unconstitutional laws, and gotten away with it. They will continue to do so as long as we LET them. The only way to get back the rights that we have lost would be to mount an armed rebellion against the government? Could it come to that? Sure there are some that would stand up and fight, but for the most part, as stated before, I think apathy and complacency would prevent it. Lock and load.

    7mm,
Many here have put it better than I could ever hope to, but this is how I look at it.

Consider that you are engaged in a battle for something that you hold very dear.
Imagine your constitutional rights are instead your children.
The enemy agrees to cease hostilities if you agree to a COMPROMISE.
The compromise allows the enemy to take 1/2 of your children to be raped, beaten, tortured, disfigured and enslaved.
In return you are allowed to live in peace with the remaining children.
    For Now !

Are you the type to accept the compromise?

Or, would you prefer to fight for complete freedom, for your entire family? Even if it meant that all could perish in the fight?

About 3% of the People living here in America actually fought in the War of Independence....

That is all that will fight today.7 million people. It is enough.
Many on this forum..many owning guns today..will fight on the side of the beast.

Pray that they pass the laws to disarm We the People..because without that defining moment..we will continue to obey every unConstitutional law the traitors care to pass. They stand in front of microphones and proclaim proudly that 'they never read the bill'..and pass it in to law...gag a maggot....

    God,Guts,& GunsHave we lost all 3 ??

Once again I have to agree with the core of what Highball just said. the anti gunners know that they cannot simply get all that they want at one time, they work on it very slowly and just keep pushing a bit farther each time so that the "average" gun owners don't get REALLY angry and throw a monkey wrench into their plans. The best possible example you'll find for this is right here in Kalifornia. When the first assault weapons ban was passed, the anti's were very careful to exempt such guns as Mini 14's, M1 carbines, and M1A's since they knew that the "average" gun owner used these guns. When the same folks drew up the the idea of a compliance list of so called "safe" handguns they made sure that this list does not apply to private party sales of handguns; individuals can still buy and sell non compliant handguns in this state. Even the assault weapons bans and magazine bans are not true bans since people were allowed to register and keep everything that they already owned. A massive state wide gun round up would have gotten the "average" gun owner too excited and he would not have complied.

The people in Kalifornia simply gave up too much and although many of us put up a fight, we were simply too few in numbers. Now there is now no looking back as these laws are here to stay and are not going away. There are some on this board who feel that I am a sell out on gun rights, but I can assure you all that I was among those leading the protests against the first AW ban nearly 15 years ago and gave freely of my time and money in these efforts. I am sad to say that now a days it is very hard for me to get too worked up about this anymore, especially since my FFL and special permits allow me to continue to enjoy what is now prohibited to others in this and other states.

Mark, what if your permits are no longer offered under the new California Governor?
