We all like to brag, meaningless post with pics!

We all like to brag on our vehicles, well now it is my turn to brag for a couple minutes
The first pic is the fuel gauge and tripodometer, notice the milage, this is on the last fillup and I have not added anymore fuel since, the milage is correct, this is what you can accomplish with decent driving and a good diesel engine. The fuel tank is either 30 or 35 gallon, I can't remember which since I have not had it below where it is now in a couple years.
This pic is the total miles on the truck, not one hiccup, not one problem, never a stall, never run hot, nothing, not one problem! It has been on a few trips, abused (you will see in a couple other pics the abuse), run hard and fast, used to embarass Japanese "hotrods" (Is there such a thing?) on the interstate and just flat out had fun in. The Dodge I had prior to this with this many miles on it had the tranny replaced twice, complete frontend overhaul, interior falling apart and rust along with a best of 14MPG!! Sure it aint got that many miles on it but from my experiance with buying new vehicles by the time this milage was achieved, Chevy and Dodge has crapped atleast one major dump inside this milage, this is the second Ford I have owned and this one true to the last Ford just keeps going.
Notice how clean the engine is, the Dodge with 30,000 miles looked like it had been run thru oil puddles all its life. This thing still has the original batteries in it, original turbo, orginal everthing except filters. Just look at that powerplant, bone stock Cummins stomper, I love it!! I havent lost a race to a Cummapart haha!
What about tires, this may be a brag on Kelly but it still shows how the truck stays in alignment. I promptly took the Firejunks off this when I bought it and put these Kellys on it, these tries have 56,000 miles on them, YES 56,000 miles!! I just replaced them with the exact same tire, the Dodge needed tires at half this milage and I aint had a Chevy that would get more than 35,000 out of tires no matter how well you take care of them! Good tire maintenance, rotations and even pressure along with a truck that doesnt tweak itself and this is what tires look like when removed.
This load on the truck was 4100 pounds, 4100 pounds in a shortbed F250, when I hit the scale I was just shy of 12,000 pounds. Ran it 35 miles at 60-65MPH and it never blinked, after unloading it sprang right back where it was and there are no signs of body or frame tweakage.
The last couple pics shows what it is normaly used for other than driving around embarassing Dodges and Chevys, nice easy towables that this thing don't even notice being hooked to it. The Trans Am I brought back to PA from Detroit last week, speeds in excess of 75MPH on I-80 in PA, big hills and it never slowed down nor did I have to take the cruise off from 75MPH to drop a gear, just left it in 6th gear and it walked right up them hills like they wasnt there and yes it toasted a Dodge or two on them hills, Cummins, what a joke! HAHAHA I hate to say this but it even spanked one of the new 6.4 Twin Turbo Fords on Clearfield mountain pulling a race car in an enclosed trailer, I spoke with the guy driving it and he only had my by 1500 pounds, I tore him up on that hill.
Now I am sure there are some of you who work a pickup harder than I do, farmers are hard on trucks I admit that. This truck is just a pleasure truck, working it is a bonus. I did not buy it to constantly be loaded at 15,000+, if I had wanted to do that I would have bought an F350. I'm just showing what an average guys truck is used for and what an average guy can get out of his truck. I don't use it for commercial use or load it everyday, it hauls an occasional load of stone, pulls the boat on a regular basis and the car trailer. I am proud of this truck for what I use it for and I am tickled to death that it has given me no troubles at all, now this dang Dodge on the other hand, I got screwed when I traded it but I did not care, I wanted to get rid of that piece of crap at any cost including letting it get repoed, I traded it for a loss, good riddance!!
This was my last Ford, had it for a few years and just like the F250, it never, not even once ever thougth about sneezing on me, even with the lift kit and the big tires it just ran and ran and ran, then I got stupid and bought that misserable POS Dodge!
As always following tradition of a good number of my threads this one is just the same, it has no meaning or point to be made, simply made out of boredom, replies are optional. Thank you for reading and I hope you Dodge owners don't hate me hahahahaha.

ok!
The islands were known to the Phoenicians, Greeks and Romans, and are mentioned in a number of classical sources. For example, Pliny the Elder describes a Carthaginian expedition to the Canaries, and they may have been the Fortunate Isles of other classical writers. King Juba, the Roman protegee, dispatched a contingent to re-open the dye production facility at Mogador in the early 1st century AD.[1] That same naval force was subsequently sent on an exploration of the Canary Islands, using Mogador as their mission base.
G&P, what is left in the tank will go quick, nah I won't get 900 but I have pushed it close to 700 ice creamfootin the throttle. Of course that milage is with no trailer or load [:D] That fuel gauge is funny, fill er up and it don't move for a long time, once it hits a half tank it drops fast, that fuel that is left in it may get 75 more miles under normal driving.

You should speak to gitrdone. His Dad has a new 6.0 and it is not doing any good at all on fuel mileage. Maybe 11 mpg last gitrdone told me. I steered clear of the 6.0 cause of the prior head problems Ford had. Here is a short read
http://www.intellidog.com/dieselmann/60bulletin.htm
It has came up a bit but still not to what his 7.3l Power Stroke was getting.
He has talked to Ford about the milage and they say it is only the newest of the 6.0's that are getting worse milage. It is due to the new smog requirements that have been put into place on the new ones (tell tale sign is that they must run the new ultra-low sulfer fuel).
He is hoping that it still comes up even ferther as he barely has 10000 miles on it yet.
6.0 and I like trucks that ride like trucks, if I want a vehicle that rides like a car I will buy a car, a Ford rides like crap because it is built Ford Tough [:D][:D] Chevy builds heavy duty trucks that can haul three bags of groceries now and still maintain a soft ride [}:)][;)]
do you honestly believe thats true? [:X]
if their was a ford worth owning it had a 7.3
What's the plan stan?
Since you mentioned Dodge a lot, here's one for ya:
Second of all, I sure as hell hope it's still running problem free at only 58k miles. I'd tell them to take it back if it wasn't. It's a DIESEL.
Third, that 6.0 liter is the biggest joke for an engine I have ever seen. Put a few more miles on it, you'll see what I'm talking about.
Fourth, you are comparing that 14 mpg GASSER Dodge to the current diesel you have. That's apples to oranges.
Fifth, any day you want to "line em up" with that "stock" flowerpoke I'd love to rain on your parade. Hate to tell you but either one of my "Cummaparts" would stomp you, and use half the fuel in doing so.
Sixth, let's see a Powerstroke reliably hold over 1,000 horsepower as has been done by the tried and true 5.9L Cummins found in Dodge Pickups.
Rant over. I truly do wish you the best of luck with your truck. You just seem either INCREDIBLY lucky, or very ignorant.
B.S.
power chokes have never been known for their fuel mileage.
especially not the 6.0 it was the worst diesel navstar ever built, thus the lawsuit they are in with ford
to each their own
I'd rather be * than strokin [:D]
You have a FORD that made it to 58,000 miles !!
[:D]
Thanks---Peabo
58K without a break, lets see, you mentioned the diesel but what about all the other things like the tranny, Dodge aint made a tranny yet thats reliable, just google dodge trannies, sad. The garage that rebuilt the last Dodge tranny for me loves Dodges, loves them to death, they keep him in business! The front end on the Dodge, fell apart at 40,000 miles, yup they sure do build a truck don't they!
[:D][:D][:D][:D] Dodges suck [:D][:D][:D][:D]
You want good fuel milage, drive it like a normal person! Keeping speeds under 65MPH and using the tranny to keep it between 1500 and 2000RPMs does wonders. I can take my wifes 2008 Camry that gets dang good milage and get 10 MPG out of it if I drive like a turd and I can get that Ford down to less than 10 as well, it's all on how you drive it. Drive it like you are 16 years old in your daddie car and you get lousy milage, drive it like a mature adult and get good milage, drive it back from Detroit like I did and get lousy milage, ohh and slaughtermatics kill milage as well, get a stick [:D][:D][:D][:D]
The Trans Am is getting ready to undergo a full rotiserie (no I can't spell) restoration, when done it will be Candy Apple red with powder coated fram rails, tan interior and I'm not sure how wild I will go but it's getting a 427BBC with a 700R4 tranny or if I get crazy with the engine I'll probably go with a 4L80E tranny. Most parts are on order and will ship soon, by next R&R home all the parts should be here and the fun begins.
BTW, guess the only way to get any attention around here is to act like an * [:D][:D][:D][:D] Have fun, gotta get ready to catch a plane so I can get back to work and pay for all this [:(]
Jeez, why don't you just come out and say what you mean?[;)]
Since you mentioned Dodge a lot, here's one for ya:
THAT looks like a dodge on the back of a re po truck
I'd rather be *' than strokin'![;)]
Did you decided to gravel that spot in your yard where you got your Ford STUCK???[?][;)][:D]
You have a right to brag !!
You have a FORD that made it to 58,000 miles !!

+1[:D]
Oh, both of my trucks are manuals. I hate an auto/diesel combo.
But as I said before, there is no way you get that mileage out of a 6.0 powerstroke. I don't care what your driving habits are or whether it's a manual or not.
And I'm not brand loyal either. I've just opened my eyes. The Cummins engine will always win, and Dodge has always been a good vehicle for me.
I've averaged 22MPH out of that truck for the longest time, it's all on how you drive it, now on the trip out and back to Detroit, I was in a hurry, both ways and got 10 out of it but with no load and keeping RPMs under 2K I average 22 and can get it higher than that on a nonstop under 65MPH cruise, ohh and no cruise control.
My dad gets 22 mpg out of his 2007 Cummins...and that is about average for a Dodge.
Call Bruce Fulper @ Rock N Roll Engineering, he can set you up with a great 455,

Damn!!! Give a guy a few teeth and he gets some attitude! Don
I've built Pontiac engines, they are a pain plus parts are gettin scarce besides, I've always wanted to build a BBC so heres my chance [;)]

+1 on a pain building Pontiac engines. BBC is way easier
my f350 dually with 7.3 pic is from when i first got it now as alum tool box and stainless fender well trim still debating on getting a alum l shape bulk fuel tank...got my fuel tank, toolbox, air compressor and ect on a trailer i can pull along to field with me...kinda nice having a pickup box that i can use instead of having full of the above mentioned stuff...i have never gotten no where near what people say they can get with the diesel pickups...if i really baby it i can get 15mpg...the excursion gets better...but have not checked it since i got it guy before me took it to denver and said he got 19 with it.
