I live about 4 miles as the crow flies from Humboldt, a small town in southeast Kansas.
When I want to go somewhere there is something of interest; "gun show" I have to drive some distance, but for everything else its about 11 miles for the rest.

I can step out to my small shop and load and shoot it positioned targets at 100 and 200 yards.

I dont ever plan on moving back into any city, if all possible.

I love being out here where its kind of quiet.

The price of gasoline and propane is high, but its that way everywhere these days.

I drive 25 miles to work daily. The town I work in has 2500 people. The nearest large town is 12,000 and 40 miles away.

Other than WY, MT, and SD....this is paradise.

My nearest neighbor is a mile away.

Quite an intersting cross section as one would expect...I like it quiet,I don't care to hear cars,trains,planes,people...I like listening to dogs,IF they are barking at a trespasser, chasing somethin or barkin treed! The racket equated with society today is just...unbelievable,its hard to get far enough away so as to not hear the rest of the population "living".Aglore,I'm jealous...sounds good there...It was great here but what with all the dang 4 wheelers etc, everyone figures they can go anywhere..But there are still little pockets and they are only there for specific reasons,(moose hunting or whatever) and then they leave......

I live in the big city of Milwaukee. I've grown up here all my life. My great-grandparents live out in the country and I love visiting the farm. It's very peaceful, and a huge change from where I live. I love every minute of being out there.
