Is this an old foogies team? Put me in for pitcher,35 wins no losses,.775 batting avg. Of course I was in my 20's not pushing 60.
For the most part, yes, it would tend to be the senior league type. They are waiting for the opposing GB team to show up. I don't know how many teams can be in the league, but our Commissioner, JamesRK, Esquire might have a handle on that end of things. [:D][:o)]

"T-Ball" doesn't count. [:D]
No, no, Jorge. I think the coaches are looking for a Diversity Coordinator ...for the Bat Boys...just for starters, of course. Would you be looking for such a forward thinking position? [:D]

I can swing a "bat".
[;)]
[:D][:D][:D] I think the coaches are looking for a designated hitter, too, and they'll probably sign you on the spot since you could probably double as the team doctor. You have written prescriptions for Motrin haven't you? Do we need a Puerto Rican Bat girl, too?

He wouldn't be "carding" very many of this crowd. But he would have to listen to the b-tching about the price.[8D]

Hairy has to be pitching. No one can throw a curve ball better than he can, and no one could argue a miscalled stike any better either.[;)]
Tallcharlie would have to be the catcher because he can catch anything Hairy throws.[^]
That very point was given serious thought, Danny, until the concensus was that curves needed to be in the vicinity of the strike zone. Granted, though, Hairy was given every benefit of doubt until logic entered the picture. [:D]

So, apparently, I'm out as head coach. Can I be the loud drunk Father in the stands that yells about everything?
Sure,......if you can manage to get drunk at 6 bucks a pop!

Those who can do and those who can't coach!!! I'm in.
Long story made very short...I coached a girls college team for a couple of years. It was a good time..learned how to play small ball so this lineup better learn to place the ball and run the bases. No station to station base running here. We are taking every extra base we can and we'll leave a trail of bodies to get it done.[;)]
btw I have serious reservations about the ball boys...we don't have time to sit around and debate every issue and I don't think we'll be able to keep them separated.[8D]
elk, I take it that you mean the bat boys instead of ball boys, is this correct?

Just gotta know how to swing a bat...
I popped one (Cor 44, 375comp) to 365 last year. Put my 6' 215lb frame into it.
Good night!! I guess I know who is batting #4. Those are the flight restricted balls right?
Yup...That was with a Demarini Juggernaut 34/32.
Those balls sounud like sponges when you hit em. We crushed some Red Dots to 380 - those balls fly like baseballs.
I smashed one the other night. Then my next at bat I had a pitch to go to right field with, took the hardest swing of my life and missed. I stopped after spinning 180 degrees facing my own dugout. A couple guys fell down like they were blown over. It was hilarious. Of course my bat speed is about 110mph. My golf club head speed used to be 128mph.
I played a co-ed league with my wife a couple years ago. The started out with the red-dots but I could hit those out of the 350-380 ball fields like they were nothing but those flight restricted balls drive me nuts. Smash the stuffing out of them and they MIGHT make it to the base of the fence...but I haven't tried any of the hi-tech bats.

Yeah I was talking about the batt boys..[:p]
That's some serious reservations alright, but you might want to consider working Hairy with questions like, "What do you think, Hairy?" and for eboy, just ask him how he was taught to choose up sides. [:D]

Gearhead, if TC does not ink you, I could always use some company in the stands. [:D]
I could help coach....played both fast and slow pitch over the years, finally hung my spikes up at 45, the young guys were running up my back on bases and sliding was out of the question.....[:D]

Piss off. I don't get involved in sports. I make fun of the people who do. If I were 1st base ump, I'd be sitting there in one of those folding lawn chairs reading a book and calling "safe" and "out" at random intervals as I notice people running past me. And Lord help the person that runs into me.[:(!][}:)]
