My hands are so dried and cracked that they are bleeding!!![xx(][B)] I have tried all kinds of creams and parafin wax on them. They are so cracked I can't even hold anything in them without them hurting. Anybody use something that works well for cracked skin???

Bag Balm
+ infinity. That stuff is great.
Bag Balm
Works well[:)]
Bag Balm
yep. L K mills in benton carries it if you in the area.
soakum in cider
May not work, but it's lots more fun!
I use this every fall when my hands start to crack and bleed. Just use it right after a shower and it fixes all.
Or,by Rx,,,'Silvadene Cream'.
I've only ever used that for extreme sunburns and other types of burns. But it is a miracle for burns, seems to take the heat right out of them.

best cream for the hands, you might want to google it.
Capt. Jack Sparrow.
No one knows what a balms gonna do.
They're unpredictable. That's the nature of the balm."
Then wear gloves at night. Latex/vinyl/rubber/whatever.
The gloves are to keep you from getting grease on everything. And for allowing your body to rehydrate your hands.
Nothing you put on your hands will 'soak in' that is legal. It's all about keeping things from 'leaking out' while your body repairs itself.
Bag balm and gloves. Try it for a week. Promise.
I use cocunut oil.

Not that big, so have to do it on the installment plan.
corn huskers, stops you from gettn ashee too.
Corn huskers is what I use as well. If they are that bad, Shoot some super glue in the cracks and it will relieve the pain.
If my get real bad, I use any cream(preferred corn huskers) and slip on some latex/rubber gloves. That gets them back into shape quick.

Depends I suppose on the cause. Showed my doc the areas on my hands that would dry out, flake and crack. Sometimes bleed. To a lesser extent also see it near elbows.
Diagnosed as a simple skin condition treatable with that stuff.
Lots of things I tried before that prescription have been mentioned by others. All helped to some degree. Only that prescription stuff works well. Have not had to use it on hands in several years now, maybe those spots are cured ? ? ?
Use hand sanitizer only when necessary. Don't use the blow dryer in public restrooms.
Best cure is prevention. Wear gloves as much as possible when outside.

Just a note to add here, I spent several winters on a 9000 foot mountain plowing snow in the unheated cab of a front end loader. Wore wool gloves. Fingertips especially would split and bleed.
Took a suggestion from my EMT instructor and wore latex gloves under the wool. Not the most comfortable fix but it stopped the drying out problem.
I just tell the wife to fix the problem. Palmolive, Jergens, hell, I don't care.

Can't think of the name right now but a cream dairymen use on their hands for milking cows, cows utters are sensitive to hard/dry cracked hands just the same as our women-folk [;)]. Should be available at most any farm supply store. (think the name is, utter-?????)
Udder Balm....same as Bag balm
Dry cracked hands/and or feet, plus feeling cold all the time, are symptoms of hypothyroid.
you need lanolin...it works well.
OH, wait, that's for jellyfish stings.
Run your hands under water, pat dry and then put on lotion.
You want to trap moisture in your hands, not try to put moisture in your hands.
