breaking branches comming toward my stand
whistling wings in the predawn hours while setting deeks
a rooster pheasant cackle when he flushes

IN CAMP
a cracking fire
sounds of someone else splitting the wood for a change
the sound of coffee perculating
the three girls moaning in the tent at the next camp over

Antlers crashing together in the early morning just as daylight breaks

The sounds of a forest "coming alive" at dawn, the birds, the squirrels ALL the creatures, waking up and some going to bed
The familiar noises as I lever a round into the chamber of my Grandad's Model 99![;)]
