looks pretty well thought out, but why the m1 carbine and an ak
seem to me you would be better carrying more ammo or a gun that adds a different capability

One for the wife, the M-1 and one for me, the AK. 2 people, two firearms.

Did you really need to vaccuume seal Top Ramen [:D]? I was just at Save Mart where they were selling the silly things for a dime (yes I stocked up [:D]). If they got wet or moldy use it for bait for birds or squirel then use the "soup pack" to season the "got" meat. Also I recon the amount of vaccuum bag used to seal just made the Top Ramen twice as expencive [:D].

Is price a factor when it comes to your survival?
Yes I think it does. Vacuum packing .10 cent Top Ramen just seems a bit much. Hey if you're happy your Top Ramen is dry it's all you. Also I'd write what's in the can with magic marker on top just in case the labels fall off. So there is no confusion between "Pork 'n' Beans" and "Fruit Cockktail".

[^]I'll just stay where I'm at. It's only two blocks to my beer store![:D]
Sounds like a safe place. Everyone knows that the baggy pants generation would never loot a beer store.
