I have absolutly nothing to add
Although always described as a cowboy, Roswellnative generally acts as a righter of wrongs or bodyguard of some sort, where he excels thanks to his resourcefulness and incredible gun prowesses.

I suppose you could put down a deer with Tupperware like that, but man would you be limited on your range! [:0] Not to mention it would probably be a little less humane.

You could have at least said GLOCK = "Dangerous Tupperware." [:p]

    How do you figure ?

They employ americans, americans buy them from american dealers, and the excise tax goes to Americans

Now japan has owned granite city steel since 92, they make the steel for frames, and exterior of automobiles for chevy, ford, and dodge

You're right. They are an unwieldy brick but they digest anything, the magazines (Korean mags included) work, always feed, are reliable, don't rust and they shoot straight.
I put on a set of Truglo, contrasting day/night sights that really improve on a good thing.

There is no 1911 made today, or ever, that would survive that kind of test, let alone still function just fine after.....no way, no how.

I hear ya! I don't own a Glock but I bought my son a 21 on his 21st. In short, I like "all kinds of guns" and what they have to offer ... period.

we Americans, when we put our minds to it, can do everything better than anybody else, anywhere else...all but 2 things, but those 2 things also have exceptions...

1)We cannot brew beer. Big name American Beer blows...it just does. Foul, chemical tasting pig swill. All of them are the same...Bud, Miller, Coors, ETC...they all suck.

The exception to this is the fairly recent boom in micro brews. Some of those are world beaters, hands down. Delicious. Plentiful variety. Naturally brewed in small batches, as beer should be made.

2)We cannot make guns....just cant. almost all the best rifles trace their roots to the Mauser 98, and improved (or did worse) on it. Most other designs were done by an immigrant just off the boat.

The exception to this.....John Moses Browning, and he did plenty to make up for it too.

Glocks are even more proof of this, by making use of modern materials and coatings. While not the first to do this, they proved they were better and now the American companies are copying them too, just like almost all other US firearms.

    GLOCK_34_9mm.jpg

I really like the Glock 34. Its now my goto gun when shooting for either fun or in 3 gun comp. I think I am going to try it out in IDPA too.

I am a Glock fan! I find it hilarious how many folks on here hate on Glocks.

    Here we go again lol

Ugly ?, yes but so is wrenches, hammers, and car jacks, but when you need a tool they are beautiful

Plastic? Yes but as first drummed up by the media when the first g17 hit the market as a gun that could bypass metal detectors, plastic has replaced many many automobile components, doors, fenders, bumbers, engine compartment components to steering bushings

Will they melt ? Yes one of the most ridiculous arguments ever, if you find yourself in a oven or volcano cauldron needing a gun, its to late, you should have used it earlier, you deserve to melt with it and do your part to cleans the gene pool

No safety ?, well to put it lightly as not to offend anyone, your an idiot, it has 3, but pull the trigger and it fires, otherwise it will not fire under any circumstances whatsoever, its physically impossible, a loaded revolver has less safety

Will they kaboom ?, yes as all guns will, considering how many glocks have been produced, shot and carried on a daily bases the percentage is relatively very low (I personally have been within 10 yards of 4 kbs, 2 glocks, 2 1911's, all where traced to hand loader error)

Accuracy ?, well its not a bullseye gun by far, but a shootout isnt going to likely happen at 50 yards

I own 3, 000 dollar 1911's that equals 6 glock g17's , I can arm my entire family and a few neighbors, we could all throw 102 rounds at once vs 8

Built in magwell, my personal reload went from 1.1 seconds to .6 , and shot fired back on target, I can go on all day, but it doesnt matter

I hardly would hold any design of Stoner on any esteem. AR15....junk...at least in combat. AK rules that arena. Simple, cheap, effective, and keeps on working after any kind a abuse.

    Besides, Stoner didnt use polymer.

    (C&P)

Heckler & Koch VP70 was the first polymer-framed pistol and predates the Glock 17 by 12 years. The weapon weighed 820 g (28.9 oz) unloaded, lighter than most other metal framed pistols of the time. Although it was the first polymer pistol, the Remington Nylon 66 rifle introduced in 1959 was the first polymer-framed firearm in production. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heckler_&_Koch_VP70)

You have a problem with reading comprehension dont you?

All those bolt action designs.....based off the 98. S & W revolver designs started from an what an immigrant put on paper 150 years ago and just got updated.

where are the most expensive, sought after firearms made??? EUROPE!! why??? WE CANT MAKE GUNS!!!!! Maybe we could if the accountants stayed out of it...but here, what we make, its all about the bottom line, and because of that the quality of our firearms suck, other than your custom shop stuff.

Funny you mention Remington....yep, they are turning out top notch stuff these days.....NOT!!

Winchester??? Owned by FN.....Colt is fine...but it makes JMB designs too.
