Most of you people have no clue. All of you who are saying you're making 100K a year, can't find good workers, all you need is education, Americans won't do hard work, it's all the unions fault, etc, etc, etc. are just a bunch of blow hards. You have no connection to reality. Sure some people fall into good jobs. But it very, very rarely happens. One of the kids I trained is now taking down 75K a year and a company car, but they didn't even bother to interview me for the job. Six degrees, more certifications than I can remember, 30+ years of experience and I'm making ten bucks an hour! The only reason I got this job as that the friend of a friend felt sorry for me. No insurance that will pay for anything, and so broken down at my age that it's all I can do to stand on my feet for eight hours a day. Yea, I got retirement--at my current rate my retirement will pay me $42 a month if I work until I'm sixty-five. Oh, and by the way, no one in the history of the company has made it past sixty!!!! I expect the lay offs to start in January. At that point, I'll be happy to take any job. Just let me know where to apply. Rumor has it that the state may off "retaining" but there are another 5000 folks who are going to be laid off in front of me 40 miles up the road. And if there is "retaining" it will consist of learning to flip burgers and saying "do you want fries with that" in Spanish.

With all due respect I don't believe that you know who you are talking about. When I didn't get ahead the way I thought I should I started my own business. I put in the 20 hours a day 7 days a week. I bled, shed, and clawed for what I wanted. I didn't whine about the unfairness of the world, or how I was held down with a foot on my throat.
Like I said before my guys all make over 1200.00 a week and I still have to go through 10 to get one good one. SOme of the guys that came to work with me were only making 300 a week prior, and still didn't think the work was worth the pay.

He's driving a German car and he can't find a job?
It may be a VW, which are made in Mexico.
