Streamlight Stingers, stashed pretty much in every vehicle along with a charger. I order new batteries off of fleabay every other year, whether they need it or not and have yet to have one not work when needed. Just got one of the C4 led models, thats a nasty little light.

My first stinger I got in '99 and used it everyday for about 4 years before I needed to change the battery. After '03 I was not using it daily and I got 2 more stingers, and I have not had to replace a battery in them since '03.

Regular replacement is a good idea though, sucks to grab a flashlight when you need it and it doesn't work. I might have to go on a 3 year or so battery rotation.
