The mezcan kids in Jr. High gave me the name Mateo because "Mateo" is Matt in Spanish.

The High School football coach added the "Mas feo" part because it rhymed and because I played angry.

    I go by "Jake."

Never heard of a well-endowed Italian before? I'm not surprised, but just ask your wife, I'm sure she can bring you up to speed.[:o)][}:)]

My buddies from way back call me "Gunner" or "JY". My intimates call me "Jimmy" and friends and familiars call me "Jim".

"Gunner" came from my always (almost[:)]) hitting what I aimed at and because I always carried a pistol. I'm a pretty small guy and once years ago four big guys I didn't know ambushed me at a dance and beat me up before my buds piled into it and sorted things out nicely. (My girlfriend had earlier told one of them to get lost.) I told myself that was never gonna happen again. "JY" are my initials and that nickname was used interchangeably with "Gunner". "Jimmy" is my little boy name my relatives and my girlfriends used, and "Jim" is the familiar of James.

I was nicknamed Nighthawk because I work 8:00PM-4:00AM and catch alot of traffic violators, and the hawk part is part of my last name. Thats because during my shift there are usually more.

All except for "Jake," those are my son's nicknames. Must be a teenage thing!

When I was growing up I worked for my grandfather's construction company. The other employees, all rough, tough guys, called me "Oney, Jr." I know why and where the nickname came from, but does anyone else? [:D]

That reminds me of my nickname on the rig when I did that. Called me Big Don cause I was such a small guy.

I was a flight medic in the Army, as well as a medic with a couple of different units. I earned the nickname Doc. I was also given the nickname Flash, as my first name and that nickname relate to a famous science fiction t.v. show.

Mr. Orange is the latest one. Haven't picked one up at the new job yet, and nobody there knows about my old ones.

At the last job I had, there was an office redo and the field employee assignments got put into binders, not color-coded, just random. Mine was orange, so of course I held it up and yelled across to the other movie buff in the office: "Hey! I'm Mr. Orange!" and it stuck. Since another term for my job was agent the receptionist started calling me Agent Orange but Mr. won out.

For those who don't know, see the movie "Reservoir Dogs".

It was Truck in high school......I am not a little man by any means.

Then on a cruise back from the Isla Mujeres to Cancun, on my senior trip, I decided to get wasted. Well I succeeded after drinking 19 shots of rum just as fast as I could down them. At which point the guy on the mic started calling me big Ox. Well a bunch of really hot girls who I will never remember started dancing around me and some guy started taking pictures.....shortly thereafter I excused myself and put my lunch in the ocean....along with I assume most of that rum. From that point during the rest of the trip in Cancun I had random people coming up to me and saying " What's up Ox".....I had no idea who these people were but I guess I left an impression. Anyhow the nickname has stuck I got it inked on New Years Eve of 99.
