Thanks again Dennis for selling it to me. I made a nice profit at the metal recycle dealer.
Thats sad,it had three derbys under it's belt and was good for a few more.
You forgot to remove the winnings you had stuffed in a sock under the dash along with the cigars.

Had this one since 1965. First car I bought when I was 21 years old with my own money. Added factory dual quads. In process of installing 4 speed, better cam, and aluminum heads. Towed it to body shop Monday to have it stripped down and repainted. Looking foreward to putting it back together later this winter or next spring. Was high 14 second car. Shooting for mid to low 14's.

And my first truck looked like this
'57 T-Bird. Bought it in '65 when I was 21. 312, factory dual quads, 3 speed heavy duty all syncro 3 speed. Crane cam, ballanced, .30 over, electronic ignition, have run rear ends from 3.56 to 4.57. Best time to date 14.90 at 98 mph. Winter project is have body striped and repainted and add aluminum heads and new cam and toploader 4 speed and back to the strip when I am done.

Yes, it is the air cooled 1970 VW Bus.
Easily topped 65 mph in fourth, on flat ground.
Smashed into a burro on the road one night on a trip to Mexico and ruined my German Muscle Car.
