I personally loved shopping there.......until now. With them caving in to the liberal media and the public's knee-jerk reaction by suspending the sales of "all modern, sporting, semi-auto rifles", I will not give them one more penny of my money.

Was about 3 blocks from a store yesterday while waiting on some new glasses. We went in Dicks and seen no one in the firearms dept. aside two young salemen standing behind the counter. They asked if they could help me? I looked at both of them and said.. Looks like y'all need some help getting some customers. 308 ammo was gone but tons of 30/06. Last time I ever set foot in one of their stores.

I wouldn't before, New one opened up here and I went in to see what all they had most the ammo was locked up not much of a selection of guns . wasn't a very gun friendly store . Not to mention over priced I decided then I want coming back. Doesn't surprise me they caved

Bought all of our targets for our trap club from them.
hallways got good service and price from them.
This cuts it for me.

What about walmart? Did they remove some AR rifles too? The walmarts by me don't carry firearms but two of the 3 I go to sell ammo.
Don't go to Dicks much kind of far away and difficult to get to. Bought a remington 1187 SM years ago from them for a great price. Haven't been there for several years so me boycotting them really isn't an issue.
Gander mountain is closer and easier to get to.

No such sporting goods store around here, would have to drive to Tulsa or OKC. I guess the two women that are married to each other are to blame, they have been saying no more dicks for years. [:o)]

No. Ones around here never had many guns or ammo...and when someone was in that dept. they didn't know anything. I did buy a shotgun there some years ago because of the price, but it took 3 weeks to get it in. Bought clothing, shoes and lots of other stuff there for my children. There are other stores for that, I don't need Dick's.

i prefer to go to the locally owned shops that you can actually deal with. May cost a little more sometimes, but the service is actually there, unlike what you get from the big stores with the minimum wage teenyboppers working there.

I wasn't going to buy an AR-15 there anyway.

Answer, this is a business decision on their part, and they can sell or not sell whatever they like. I disgree with it, but I'm not going to second-guess it.

At least they're still going to be selling SOME guns and ammo; most sporting goods stores won't even do that anymore.

I'll still happily go in there and buy something I need, if they have the thing I want at the price I want.

I always thought they were over priced on everything. The only thing I ever bought from them was some tennis shoes on sale.
