I liked them because they sold the under armor stuff that I like, but a Big R store opened up and I havent had a reason to go back... Now I have another reason. The Big R is going through the process of getting their FFL, and the walmart here is happy, absolutely no guns whatsoever and a pitiful ammo selection
I bought an 870 combo from the Court St. location in Binghamton years ago (nothing else)...they have been stocking less and less firearm related gear for a long time,(Gander Mtn. is heading in that direction too)the real money is in apparel anyway.
I think it was a ploy so they dont loose christmas shoppers, they depend on this shopping season. After the holidays it will be business as usual IMHO
I could be wrong though
..One opened nearby a few years back, so I went in to see what they had. When I asked about handguns, the snot looked down his nose and said "We don't sell handguns." I didn't like that attitude, but they had the best price on clay pigeons.
..I called them today asking about trigger locks. My son needs some, so I'll set foot in there again, but Farm & Fleet and the local gun guys will still get most of my business.

The gander Mtn I go to just totally revamped their store and easily doubled their firearm space. But they lost their gunsmith shop in the process. Sales. No service.
Dick's here is in a mall. When you walk in it looks like every other women's clothing store in the mall. The guns and huntinh stuff is in the far back corner on second floor. One visit and done.
I don't shop at any and all big box sporting goods stores. I don't do Dick's, Gander Mountain or Cabelas. Cabelas figures it is better to have all these fancy mounts in their store rather then have stock in the store that people will buy. And lump Bass Pro Shop there as well.
Had a $25 gift certificate from them, drove down to Gurney ILL and couldn't find anything in that store to consider buying. Nothing but over priced stuff. I did get a few good buys from Dunhams though. Got a real good price on a Russian M44 a couple of years ago.
I'd rather buy on GB or at gun shows.
Ok, a few of you mentioned CTD......What did they do?
And thanks for the opinions guys....if you choose to shop there, that is perfectly fine with me....frankly, I did alot of shopping there. I bought all of my son's soccer equipment there and lots of fishing equipment. But, now....I just can't and won't go back in.
I've been in their store a couple of times and don't recall
buying anything, but if they had a good price on something
I wanted to buy, well then I might. This reminds me of people
knocking the MOs for boycotting Chic-filay. Chances are that
almost everyone you deal with does, or believes something you
wont agree with. Heck I have people in my family that I don't
agree with on gun issues, and remind them how wrong they are
almost every time I see them. But I'm not going to write them
off because of it. Don't get me wrong, If you don't want to
deal with Dicks Sporting goods because of this, by all means
that's your right, and I would not argue the point, I just
dont see it the same way.[;)]
we have a hamburger joint here in spokane called DICK's, and the help there know more about guns than the limp-wristers at our dick's sporting goods store......what a joke....

Yes I'll still shop there. There golf section is far better than other sporting goods stores.
I'm with you.
They stopped selling handguns years ago for reasons I'm sure they thought were good at the time.
I just bought a pink basketball for my daughter there. They have great stuff.
NO, I am through with Dick's
Yea,......how many times have you told your wife that before?[:0][:o)]
