THE $400 Question- SIG or GLOCK ??-Update

Went to the gunshop today. David had a SIGP225 and a GLOCK 19 for sale. Both used in VG cond. $400 out the door for Either. Sig is 8shot 9mm. Glock 15shot 9mm. one clip each. Which do I buy[?]

Gradys has Sig 225' on sale for $349. Gonna take the other 50 and maybe put a used Glock on layaway

I never owned a sig but have owned a glock and really liked it. I have shot a sig and to me it felt better then the glock but i still want to buy anouther glock.

I have a the 19's older brother,,, so I would say go that route and the ammo thing would sway me more towards the glock.

Sig is by far the better gun. How can you even compare the two?

No nite sites- By law the Glock wont be available til next Tuesday. Some state law in SC says that any gun purchased by a pawn shop cant be sold til after 7 days

Sig, because reliability shouldnt be a issue. I had a glock once and it jammed twice and didnt eject once all in one day I sold it by days end and now own a SIG P220.

They are both excellant choices. Get the one that fits your hand the best. If you don't want the weight, get the GLOCK. If you like the weight, get the SIG. The perfect one for you is the one that fits your need, not what someone else recommends.

Between those two, get the glock. Factory Sig P225/P6 mags are hard to find and expensive when you find them. Glock mags are easy and cheap to find. Now, if the Sig was just about any other model, then the Sig would be the better buy.

It's no secret that I don't like glocks. I bought a glock 22 (40cal)and recoil was BAD! Idon't think it was heavy enough.
I did shoot one of the 9mm "baby glocks" and might have bought it if it wasn't so thick (fat!) harder to conceal (bought a PM9).
Sig makes quality guns, but they're the only guns that are uglier than a glock![:0][;)]

Whichever one you get, post pics. I'd be interested in seeing how either one operates with a 'clip'.

I would buy a sig 226,229.for the high cap. I am not a glock fan but it's only because I don't like they way they look.

Tango-I had a 226 once. I sold it. Some double stack grips feel bulky to my hand. I had a Sig 225 but my daughter 'CONFISCATED' it from me after an incident that left one of her Husbands family crippled due to a crimenal shooting. I have been out to replace my 225 and all these police p6s have come to my attention. I dont own a Glock. I was by the shop and happened to see it. It seems to maybe fit my hand. But I dont know. Will prolly rent one at the range before choosing.

both are good chocies but for me i have had bad experinces with sigs and glocks. spend a little more go with a HK USP or a 1911

I like the sig 239 I bought new for 650 with the conversion kit for 357.sig
it only holds 7=1 but it hides well.
