A bunch of them at Big R today...also a bunch of them at Bass Pro in Peoria, IL yesterday.
Where were they and how much? I must have been blind! [:D] I should note that I saw the small plastic ones they had in front of the ammo out in the isle. If they have metal cans, let me know.
Aimsurplus has some now.

Sorry, the Big R is in Rochelle IL...the Bass Pro is in Peoria

That would be a good deal if one was close to pick up.

DCM the hard way!
Guess that would have to be one of them there "Undisclosed Locations" though [8D]
Still there, no wonder, see the price.[:0]
I went to an army navy store and he had a bunch, but they were all bent, went, rusted, had water in the them. Generally speaking, they are crap cans for premium price.
You reckon some lainbrain liberal woman in a position she has no business holding is some how slowing the flow of these back home? I don't think we are getting war cans, I think all that is left is what's produced on the bases. And now with those crrap china knock offs flooding in, it may be a sign of the times.
Here's something note worthy. If a 30 cal can can bring $15, and you get a can, 200 rounds of 30-06 for $110 shipped, did the cost of your ammo just drop by 7.5 cents per round? I would say yeah, you have to count the can as an asset.
I bought a bunch a long time ago for a buck apiece. I have a few left. Some store ammo, and one is bolted to my tractor as a tool box.
nice. a $1 a piece... I can't fathom. I think my first one was $5.

Dang! I got robbed!
I paid $30 bucks for 25 as new cans awhile back, and $45 bucks for 15 as new 20 mike-mike cans...they were in the guys way.
20mm cans are great, double carry handles and are around 14" x 14" x 6".
The 20mm cans hold a lot of loose shotgun shells, 2 3/4"...3"...3 1/2", have not counted a full one, probably hold 200 shells or so...and they are heavy when full.... I didnt loose a single gun in a damn boating accident or any other accident either.

Yes they are.
I'd say a can easily holds 5,000 loose rounds of .22lr quite nicely with lots of room to spare, a tad heavy, 250 rounds of Rem LR HP weigh 28.6 ozs...[;)]
Guy had a lot of the cans, all used but in decent shape. All .50 cal, I believe. No one seemed to want them at the time, so he offered them to me at a bargain. I am not one to turn down a bargain, so I bought all he had. I think he had around 50 of them. I know I have three left, maybe four, but all are in use.
