What profession would you choose?

How would you spend your "labor" hours of the day?

Would you change it at all?

I would have requested mast in 1980 to protest being made a supply clerk. I had the highest score on the DLAT of anyone who had taken it at Indianapolis AFEES at that time. I should have gone into the 02 field and learned Arabic or some other towel head language but I wasn't given the test again in boot camp.
I used to recruit for the NRA until they sold us down the river (again!) in Heller v. DC. See my auctions (if any) under username henryreilly

I believe I would have gone more creative. Musician or artist perhaps. Perhaps an artisan skilled trade like custom built guitars.

I just like the idea of a non complaining public to deal with...

Customer service... People come to you, you aint gotta go look for work.... Dealing with people in a time of need. Dirty job that someone has to do. All those apply...

I'd probably do highschool over. Don't mind my job, but things would be a lot more to my liking if I'd met a particular girl during highschool instead of after.

If you really desire something, you'll find a way ?
? otherwise, you'll find an excuse.

I would have spent a lot more money on land in the 70-80 period, got a write off of my over extended debt, ditched the Grouch Attack before the land got too valuable, and would now be a multi millionaire.

Well I would have ducked when I instead zagged, and would never have climbed that mountain. Not to mention I would have brought more water and rounds when in Somolia, at least I brought my NVGs.

Through luck and hard work I got it right for me.

I have all the education and professional certifications I could need, I am on the very leading edge of a growth industry that will boom beyond my retirement, and I really enjoythe challenges, successes, and setbacks of my job.

It is vey demanding and I have to be careful not to ever let work come before my family.

Unless I could be born rich, I would not change what I did. I got paid to do what I would have done as a hobby if I had sold shoes for a living. Only being rich would have been better.

I would have moved west 20 years ago instead of now and got into the outfitting business. Firearms and hunting are my only real passions.

I'd opt out of being in a 'profession' and remove myself from the 'system' to the degree possible.

    Subsistence-farmer, hunter-gatherer, trapper, ridge-runner, moonshiner, and liberty-pamphleteer, living in a remote area.

    A rugged-individualist, as it were.

One of the biggest career mistakes I made was letting my mom talk me out of joining the Marines 3 days before I was scheduled to go for my physical.

I would have probably put in 20 years then joined the FD for career #2.

I wanted to be a pilot when I was younger In small craft. Alaska style. I would probably be dead now but I would have liked to tried my hand at it. I would have like to do the military stint not a career just done my part. The year the draft ended was when my time was coming. If I was a ten years younger now I would switch over to wind turbine tech, and do a little traveling

The hostages were still in Iran when I was in boot camp. I couldn't believe the Corps sent me to supply school instead of Monteray.

When Carter's rescue mission failed, I told everyone who would listen that if it had been an all Marine team they would have succeeded. [:D]

my in-laws own a Funeral Home...business comes in spurts, and they do a lot of "welfare" funerals that end up costing them money.

shockingly, the ones that they make no money off of, are the customers that are the most demanding, and unappreciative.
