Actually, a firearm made in 1899 DOES REQUIRE AN FFL, either from a dealer or a C&R holder. It must be made PRIOR to Jan. 1, 1899 to be classified as an "Antique".
In any event, Thank you for your service and I wish you a VERY Happy Birthday. Please add my name to your generous giveaway. Thank you!

O.K. Guys & Gals, you have been asking for it. In commemoration of my 86th birthday, I am giveing away an 1892 Winchester rifle in caliber 44WCF (44-40) made in 1899, so no need for an FFL. It has been abused in the past and needs some TLC, primarilly a replacement butt stock.
I will be drawing a name from the hat on August 10 2013.
Good Luck.
Vet.
Please add me. I have an 1892 in 44-40 from my great grandfather. Would love to have anothe rto fix up and eventually pass down to my kids. Awesome giveaway!

Ya gotta learn your laws so you don't give incorrect advice, Woody. The Model doesn't matter - when it was manufactured does. A firearm manufactured in 1899 requires an FFL or C&R.
Hello Everyone; I GOOFED. My giveaway DOES require either an FFL or a C&R license, and as I do not have either one, you will need to have a dealer who will accept a copy of my drivers license to accept shipment.
Forgive me for the mistake. Please review and reapply.

My entry still applies.
Some will die in hot pursuit
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
