Over 5,000 attendees today. I hope Cuomo and his cronies get the boot. [:(!]

According to nyforester, there were 12K attending.
A 7K difference is fairly large.

I have heard nothing about it anywhere until these posts.
    Hope it accomplishes something.

I hope they were all armed!
Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

That figure was from the NYS Police. They could have been ordered to underestimate the crowd to downplay the rally.

I hope that was the case.
Why does this always happen in terms of estimating crowds?

Over estimate for certain issues, and pretend like it never happened for others.[xx(]

I was there all day. I haven't heard any estimates but people in the crown were thinking somewhere around 10k. Should have been more. Will it make a difference. I don't know. I hope so. At least I can say I did something.

    Good pics guntech59.
    I don't see 10K or more, but I wasn't there.

Why is 90% of the crowd older white folks?
I know the answer, I just hate to see this over and over again when it comes to issues of concern.

I guess most of the younger generation won't mind losing their rights, or living under tyrants.
Yes, there are exceptions,.....that's why I used the word 'most.'

I wish you folks all the best up that way.

I spoke to Ed Holtz today, Ed is the gentleman from Western NY who is spearheading the law suit along with Jim Treseme(sp), he said that April 28th is the court date so lets keep out fingers crossed. He also said that once this thing gets going that any third party can get in on it and the more the better

It looked like 10,000-12,000 people to me. It was cool and damp out, but well worth the cause. The first step to stop a sweeping National ban begins here...

I live in NYC. I couldn't attend because of health issues. Anyway, the terrible thing is that this rally was completely ignored by all 3 major TV networks. I don't know about FOX, but they usually do not carry NYC or NY State news.
So much for our liberal, anti-gun Mass Media. What would happen if we had a rally against the 1st Amendment. I'll bet they would sue the hell out of everyone in sight along with appropriate headlines and 5 minute expert commentaries on prime time.

Local media here had very little coverage. However, they had daily coverage of the less than 100 people that "occupied" Albany Park last year. [V]

I hope it at least was mentioned locally.
Have seen/heard ZERO about it here, on FOX, or talk radio.

If that would have been 12K black folks griping about something ANYWHERE,......it would be all over the news.[xx(]

For every citizen there, there were probably two more who could not go for various reasons.

When the Dollar collapses all the folks who work won't have a job to go to. The Protests will get huge and scare the politicians.

At least two....I know of four that wanted to go, but couldn't due to work schedules.

I met my State Senator, Patty Ritchie, at a I-90 rest stop on they way home. She was on her way home from the Capitol, also. We were both in a rush to get home, so all I had time for was to tell her "Thank you" for voting against the SAFE Act and for helping us with the repeal effort. Her response was "SAFE is unconstitutional and worthless as a crime prevention measure."

The paper listed 500 at the local rally my area. The town is population 50,000

I know a few people who could not attend. There were some younger people there but not enough.

We need to reach out to the kids more.
