It's a good bet that neither that truck, nor the Jeep next to it, ever see anything but pavement.

You guys missed the error. Look at the jeep closer. 9 times out of 10 a truck parked like this is in a compact car only lot which some retail centers have adopted or you have some * who is unable to park the most simple vehicles straight in a parking space. I have seen minis jeeps smart cars all with a rear wherl on tbe stripe. And yet its always the the truck that has to adapt.

The only ahole i see here is the loser who took an hour of their to play chalk time in a parking lot like a child. If it was that big of s deal why not just leave? The truck is not blocking any vehicle from coming or going.

    So who cares?

You have failed to notice many other clues in the picture that give evidence to the size of the parking stalls, and support the claim that the driver of the truck in question is an a-hole parker.

Clue 1: A current-generation Dodge Ram has a factory specified width of just a little over 6 1/2 feet (79.4 inches to be exact), and that truck is taking up less than half of of the width of each of the two parking stalls the front end is in. That leads me to believe that the parking stalls are at least 12 feet wide, maybe a little wider.

Clue 2: The silver car on the left side of the picture appears to be a Gen-4 VW Jetta sedan, which would make it 172.4", or 14 1/3 feet, long. The careful observer will take notice that the front of the car is roughly even with the end of the line at the open end of the parking stall, and there appears to be approximately 4 feet of unused stall between the rear of the car and the end-line of the parking stall. That means that the parking stall is approximately 18 feet long, possibly as much as 20 if the front of the car isn't quite even with the open end of the stall.

Clue 3: The black truck that is partially obscured by the silver VW appears to be a full-sized, crew-cab Dodge pickup, of roughly the same age as the one of which is the object of the photo. There is a considerable gap between both that truck (the one in the background, partially obscured by the VW) and the parking line on the driver's side, and also between that truck and the silver SUV or minivan parked next to it. I would estimate that the distance between the wheels of the truck and the parking line would be at least 1 foot, possibly as much as 2, and the distance between the truck and the SUV/minivan is between 3 and 5 feet.

All of these clues give tell to the size of the parking spots, leading the careful observer to the inevitable conclusion that the parking stalls are more than adequately sized for the truck in the center of the photo, and that the driver of said truck is, truly, an a-hole when it comes to parking.

As a side note, the driver of the red Jeep is not an a-hole at parking, merely a bad driver who doesn't know the dimensions of his/her vehicle.

Guess you didnt realize this truck is a dooley. Also take note he pulled just forward enough for his front wheels to encroch the forward spots. If he had something 10' long in hisbed he would have to do this to prevent people from hitting his load and then crying why he didnt pull up further.

With the evidence given in the OP's photo, there is no way to definitively tell that it is or is not a dually (note proper spelling).

Either way, those parking stalls are NOT compact car sized stalls as you claimed in your previous post.

If that driver was so concerned about his/her precious truck, then they should have parked in a more remote, less populated area of the parking lot and used their legs (did I really just suggest someone actually walk...under their own power?!!?) to get to where they needed to go.

I would love to have some stickers, about 10" diameter, with "Learn to park A*****E" printed on the glue side. Slap one on the driver's side windshield when someone parks like this without good reason.

A lot of tough talk here. Easy to talk trash on the internet. LMAO

We don't know the circumstances behind this parking job so to comment would be foolish. I know I have had to straddle the line before to park my F-350. Other people were parked all stupid. I find it rather childish for someone to actually spend this much time writing on the pavement with chalk. If this was a man he would have stayed around and talked to the owner of the truck. Instead he chose the cowards way.

Some of you are talking about doing stuff to the truck. R U really that scared? Stay and talk to the person face to face. Be a man.

With them little bitty mirrors and low front end, I'm guessing it's a 1/2 ton. Look at the Jeep next to it for height.

I have and do go to my parking lot and make people move vehicles when parked grossly stupid.

Not even close. I deal with developers and new construction on a daily basis. The standard parking stall is 9 x 18. There is no place you will find a 12 wide stall. Not as many cars can park. Developers and business owners want as much as they can have and will never install 12 wide stalls.

    Ding Ding Ding...

My DODGE is not a dually... But, it is the longest non-commercial truck Dodge builds.
At 259.4 inches long it's almost 22 feet long... ADD a "normal" drop ball hitch and your OVER 22 feet.
Width is 79.1 inches NOT including the mirrors... BODY ONLY. That's almost 7 feet wide if I fold the mirrors in.

Try stuffing that into a normal 9 foot x 18 foot stall sometime.

Jake I know you drive a school bus as I did once a long time ago...
You know what it is to drive a big vehicle...

I usually park pulled through a far lot stall and encroach upon the next with the front end...
Or I back into a side lot stall (easier actually) so that the rear wheels touch the curbing...
There's still little room either side to open a door if ANYTHING is parked next to it.

Sounds like there's a lot of Toyota Prius drivers on the board...

No excuse if parked in close to the businesses, without a "Handicapped" tag...

    BUT:

Could have been parked thusly by a pregnant mother with small children...

Could have been parked there by person who is suffering post-op, or hurting in some manner. I have a hip joint that some times is fine, sometimes not...

Half your problem was that the spare was still underneath within 30 minutes of you getting the truck home for the first time.

Very first thing I did when I bought my Ranger was to pull the spare out from underneath the box and throw it in the box.

My guess is it was more of a statement on the truck owner's part about how stupidly small most spaces are these days.
Some will die in hot pursuit
