I remember hearing about it when it happened . Wasn't till many years later that I learned of NBD's friendship with Delly. Always thought that Kershaw 's building a knife named for him was a class act .
Some will die in hot pursuit
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
So sorry for the loss of your friend, Neo. It's sad, but the world is full of careless people. It's getting more so every day too. Just drive to town and take a look around.

It's that day again.
Be careful out there.
Always be sure of your target.

Not only what you are shooting at but what is behind what you are shooting at.
When the bullet leaves the firearm it has no control as to where it might land.
Wyatt, there is a story telling contest in East TN. you might get an ornary mention!
It saddens me every year to read this. Sorry for your loss, Neo.
Very good reminder. Wish there had not been the example. RIP
Thanks for the reminder.
Go to the beginning and read the first post. It is worth reading and everyone should know the story.
It's hard to believe but it's been 40 years ago tomorrow that Delly was shot. I'm not sure a day goes by that I don't think of the 'might've beens'.
If you don't have absolutely positively 100% identification of your target, don't press the trigger!

Truly sad
My thoughts go out to the friends and family
