9mm Pistol choices---UPDATE!

Say you have in the neighborhood of $600 to spend on a 9mm pistol. You already have a Ruger SR9, so that is out of the running. What, in that price range, would you suggest for:
Used?
New?
Thanks for the suggestions and insight.
I think I made up my mind if I can walk into a police trade-in for the right price.
I am going to buy a Glock 22(always wanted one) and then buy a drop-in 9mm barrel. Both calibers of Glocks that I have wanted. Why didn't anyone tell me I could make the change that easy! Oh, guess I would have to buy a couple of Glock 17 mags too, but that is still a cheap way to shoot both calibers.

The above choices are all pretty good, except Glock, my personal preference.

Good luck finding that for under $600. In that price range I'd go with a G19 or XD9. I just got a Kahr K9, shoots good and feels great in my hand. They can be had new for $400 on the auction side.
What about a baby eagle 9 i love mine. David
+1...have 2!!
#2 New CZ75
#3 New GLock RTF 17
why would anyone buy anything other than a beretta 92?
Because they would like something that weighs less than 10 pounds and has the possibility of being carried somewhat concealed.[:D]
I like the Beretta and have owned two over the years. Actually wish I still had one. But it is not easy to carry or conceal. A great range gun.

I have an Italian-made Beretta Cougar Inox. It's an outstanding handgun.

What Caliber is the Cougar?
I have an Italian made Beretta 84BB in nickel. Double stack .380. I love that pistol!
In the used line, I like my old S&W model 59.
A fine old piece to be sure. Carried mine for 20 years. Sold it on GB late last year with 6 mags and 2 holsters. Had I been able to afford to keep it and buy the stuff I wanted, I would have. But sentimentality and budget do not always get along [:(]
So I bought a Ruger SR9. First double stack that I can get a full grip on. Quite the change to get used to, but I like it fine now. I've been collecting mags for it, up to 5 now.
Having a full size 9mm, unless I wanted to change caliber in a full size I wouldn't put limited dollars into another. I'd look to my back-up gun needs instead. I like the idea of pocket guns for this. Have a KelTec P-3AT coming, due Thursday. Got it for $186 on GB, added a Crimson Trace laser sight for $136 and a DeSantis holster.
But if money is not the limiting factor, and if you want to use the same caliber in a hide-out piece, how about the new LC9? Use some of that money for extras like mags, nice holster, laser sight when one comes out perhaps?
Or there's always buying ammo in bulk, always a fine use for money that's itching to get spent! [:)]
... (remember when we could get 9mm for about $5 a box? Well, i went thought a LOT of ammo then!!!) ...
Used to watch the ads in the paper and would drop into Popular Outdoor Outfitters for ammo sales. Pick up a box or two of 9mm, .380, .30-30. After doing that for a few years I figured I'd better knock it off, was short on closet space.
Now I'm down to a few hundred rounds or so of each caliber that fits a gun I still own. Feeling a bit thin, looking at sales again.
Just hurts the eyes, before it even gets to the wallet!

It's a 9mm. There were only around 1,000 of them brought into the US.
Smith & Wesson model 940 Centennial, hands down.[:D]
Classic!

Can't go wrong with moon clips.[;)]
The Ruger New Model Blackhawk Convertible comes in .357 Magnum / 9mm Luger. Looks like the only thing going in a MADE IN USA 9mm revolver being made today.
Lots of other options though, in Ruger and S&W. Run a search on GB, all sorts of 9mm wheel guns from $350 to $600 at the moment.
