Yep, made up my mind that this is what I am going with...sorta. [;)]

I am going to buy a Glock 22(always wanted one) and then buy a drop-in 9mm barrel. Both calibers of Glocks that I have wanted. Why didn't anyone tell me I could make the change that easy! Oh, guess I would have to buy a couple of Glock 17 mags too, but that is still a cheap way to shoot both calibers.

If you run into a great deal on one over in your neck of the woods, let me know. Not too far to go and a good excuse to finally meet you and buy that lunch I owe ya. [;)]

I will keep looking here(both locally and on the auction side), they pop up from time-to-time, but generally get scarfed up pretty quick.

    Answer? Whatever you like.

I never liked Glocks. Just don't do it for me. But if that's what you want, get that.

If it were me and I wanted a new production 9mm semi, I'd probably go with a Beretta 92 or one of the quality clones of it.

    why limit yourself to 9mm?
Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

good enough for me! I've seen some sigs go for about what you have to spend. I'm sure you've considered them though. Aside from that, Glock is a fine choice.

Fine choice going with the Glock. The dual caliber capability is a nice feature. I use a Sig 229 in .40S&W/.357Sig, and love the convertability. You will be pleased...[:D]
