Small correction, James: They can get here. They MIGHT be able to cause a stink when they arrive. But getting home again if they do? Uhhhhh, no. Target practice.
    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.

Chavez was taken to hospital emergency room.. please say a prayer. He has suffered greatly with cancer of late.

Perhaps prayer is the reason he is in the hospital so consider that a prayer answered.

I will prayer for Chavez' recovery like Jews prayed for Adolph when he had that AD mishap in the bunker.

I should have put that in green...
for those of you who think they can't make it consider our convoys in WWI and WWII...their navy is at least as advanced as the ships that formed those convoys.
They can come through the Suez canal (now that Egypt has flipped) travel along the north coast of africa, pick up missiles and hardware in Libya (now that Alquaida controls it) and head out through the straights of Gibralter. It took columbus 3 month to make the trip but he didn't have a 100 dollar GPS, ordered online from Cabelas. I spent weeks at a time on a 60 year old halibut schooner out of sight from land so I know They can make it to the Gulf of Mexico with no problem. Iranian cargo ships and troop transports have been making the trip to Venezuala for the past 4 years at least.

For several reasons there's no chance at all they'd make a US port call.

The primary one being that they'd be afraid of crewmembers defecting.

These ships will be shadowed so close by our navy that a mere threat to launch anything in our direction would end with the Iranian navy consisitng of a few life boats.

I am pretty sure if a Disney cruise ship remotely begin to head in their direction, they would have a change of heart and pack the mail back to where they belong.

Personally I think we should treat them like they treated our hikers. Lie about location, claim they were in our waters and sink them.

It sure doesn't take much of anything for some folks to get their panties in a wad!

We seem to have a whole flock of Chicken Little here on GB!

    Get real ... and relax. [:0] [;)] [:D]

I live in Indiana, so should I be in a panic that they are going to come up the Mississippi and then the Ohio rivers and shell us?

I need to know if I should start on a bunker this weekend.

    +1
But wouldn't it be cool, like I mentioned in my first post? If their Navy had to FLY replacement crewmembers in to re-man the ships it would be rolling on the floor funny. Of course they, like the Warsaw Pact, nations, would make lots of claims that they had all been kidnapped. But, the photos made available to the media of all of them shopping in Walmart or riding the rides at Disney, would be all over the news. [:D][:D]
