.22 mag for coyote?

Through personal experience, yes, 22 mag works just fine on 'yotes. Just hit them right and its game over for them.
Beyond 150 yards or so, 220 Swift works better. Out to 450 or so yards. All they got to do is stand still for a second or two.

The yote in the pic knows. [^]
But don't listen to me
