Bottom line : I NEED A JOB !!!

Got an interview Friday Morning !!!!! with one of the local City Dept.s ....

Yep , trying to stay close to my previous fields of employment ,,,
Law Enforcement , Security , Management , Gunsmith / Armorer .....
Really hard to change ? No experience as a Brain Surgeon !!!!

Aztn, it might not be at the top of your list but Baltimore PD is dying (no pun intended) for applicants. Check out their website and let me know if you have any questions. They're literally hundreds short and several hundred more are probably gonna retire this year. It's a tough city but the pay is decent, all things considered.

And : It was for a Supervisors Position ???

Not sure of your age, I assume you are over 50.

I chalk it up to no one wants a guy that close to retirement regardless of what the law says about age discrimination.

So if that applies to you it doesn't help get the job but at least you can consider that a reason not to beat yourself up about it.

No news is not bad news.
In fact, I'd consider it a good thing.
I always get my "no thanks" people out of the way early.

Then begin making offers from my list of good candidates.

Did Not get the job @ the Dept. that I interviewed for ? Thats Four (4)
interviews with No Results ???

But : Good News ! Interviewed for a job Friday Morn. , Received call Friday afternoon (late) , Was Offered the job ! Considering I pass the 'background' check ( NO PROBLEMS HERE ) ,,, Bad Part - its only 'part-time' ( 24 hrs a week ) w-no bens. , But Its Better than NOTHING !

Will take this and keep looking !!! and : its in a totally different field ( Building Maint. ) ???

Please keep me in your prayers & thoughts .........
