Winchester model 70 ??

Did the Model 70 Shadow at Wally World get made in New Haven as did the other 70's? (synthetic stock)

They sold new for 400'ish. new.

What could you get now for one NIB in 270?

I have come across a Winchester 70 featherweight in what I'd call mint condition. It is however taped for a scope; I believe it is a pre 64. Can anyone tell me what this might be worth? Does anyone know how many rifles were made in the first year of production?

.308, we think the serial 5,000 or 500,000.

The stock looks beautiful and is checkered. I have heard the checkering was different from the pre to the post 64.

You need to give us the precise serial number... not "we think".
